Interior

Nick is notably impressed with the practicality of the galley aft layout, which allows for easy serving to the cockpit. The galley is well-equipped with a fridge-freezer, electric cooking facilities, and a dishwasher. Also of note was the additional fridge, icemaker, and AV equipment on the other side of the galley.

The tour continues to the social area, where the wide steps that offer easy access, the tremendous views from the windows, and the large folding table were showcased. The helm, featuring twin seats and an all-glass bridge, also catches attention. The AIS system, which shows all the super yachts anchored in the bay, is another highlight.

Downstairs, the VIP guest cabin, complete with ample storage and an ensuite that doubles as a day head, earns approval. Similarly impressive is the size of the third cabin, considering the yacht's length, and the owner's cabin which he describes as "fantastic" due to its spacious wardrobe, ample storage, feature panel at the back of the bed, and private ensuite.

Crew Accommodation

The crew cabin is a decent size and has good amenities, including a wet room with a shower, a day heads, and air conditioning. He suggests that it would be a great space for a crew member on a longer trip.

On Deck

From the hi-lo platform, there is access up to the cockpit and there are stylish finishing touches like the stainless steel strips that elevate the design from the usual plain white GRP. The lift-up window that can open to meld the cockpit and the galley together is much appreciated.

Nick commends the decent white side decks, high rails, and the practical handrail. The bow area features comfortable seating and sun pads. Pointed out is a clever emergency hatch under one of the sun pads that leads out of the lower deck.

The flybridge of the Princess F55, equipped with a bimini top, a large seating area, a bar, and a helm with a glass bridge layout impresses. Particularly liked is the lift-up seat at the helm that offers a good view around the boat when piloting and the seating area that can be converted into a sunbathing area.

Performance

The engine room has a pair of Volvo Penta D13-800 engines, straight shaft drive, soundproofing, fire fighting systems, and fuel filters. He commends the layout as "typical Princess".

In Summary

Nick views the Princess F55 as a nice mid-range cruising boat that's easily managed by two people but spacious enough for a family. He especially appreciates its practical design and ample storage.
