On Deck

The yacht features a full flybridge, providing an additional helm position. Also admired was the easy walkability of the decks that lead between the aft-cockpit and the foredeck.

Interior

The interior of the yacht has a beautiful teak finish and a blend of traditional and modern design elements. There are modern dimmer lights and a slightly older-fashioned light, which work well together. The boat's spacious saloon area, galley with ample storage, and twin-screen helm were also highlights. Traditional instruments complemented modern screens.

The sleeping accommodation consists of a front cabin that contains a double bed and a single bed, making the space adaptable for various sleeping arrangements. Additionally, there is an ensuite bathroom. The yacht also featured a separate private aft area with another double cabin and single bed, providing separate private sleeping areas for everyone on board. A second heads is located in this area.

Performance

The spacious engine room houses a pair of Volvo Penta D6-400s, with the option to upgrade to IPS drives. The boat could reach about 35 knots with the current engines, but upgrading to IPS-800 could push the boat well over 40 knots.

In Summary

Nick was clearly impressed with the Targa 46, praising its serious sea-keeping, quality, and performance. He concluded that the yacht is perfect for those who are serious about sailing and not just looking to sit in a marina or pop out to an anchorage.
