On Deck

The yacht has great robustness and practicality, highlighted by the stainless steel fendering all around the boat, as well as the convenient access to the outdrives through a door located on the bathing platform. There is generous storage space here, including a customer-specified sink area.

There are easy access points to the interior and the extension of the wheelhouse roof, which creates extra space for storing items like kayaks and paddle boards. The flybridge features multifunction screens, autopilot control, bow and stern thruster controls, and throttles.

Interior

The interior is solid teak with a very practical design. The layout, where the berth has been set crossways rather than lengthways, frees up space for a third cabin. The boat has a well-equipped heads, including a shower, toilet, and heated towel rail, and a comfortable dinette area. The galley is also well-equipped with a sink, hob, cooker, dishwasher, and two fridges.

The TV has a clever placement, and folds back when not in use. The helm is practical and simple, with a wheel that adjusts for standing or sitting positions, and an easy-to-use instrument panel.

The owner has specified a large bed in the forward lower deck cabin and additional storage spaces. The third cabin is hidden under a seat, a feature made possible by adjusting the layout of the back cabin. The addition of this third cabin is very practical, and is fitted with reading lights, hanging lockers, and a little seat.

Performance

The engine room houses a pair of Volvo Penta D6-440 engines on dual prop stern drives. There is ease of access here and ample space, as well as the high performance of the engines, which can power the boat to about 37 knots.

In Summary

Nick's admiration for the Botnia Targa 46 is clear. He finds the boat to be practical, robust, and beautifully made, with a unique three-cabin layout and plenty of storage. He praises the yacht's accessibility, both in terms of the boat's layout and the engine room, and is particularly fond of the solid teak interior.
