The Vela e Motore Boat of the Year awards 2019 took place on 22 September as part of the Genoa Boat Show.
Italy’s largest sea port of Genoa, with its huge sense of history and alluring old town, acts as a gateway to the Riviera, and has a long established reputation as a city for ship and yacht building. This tradition is reflected in the show which covers over 100,000 square meters of water and 200,000 square meters of land based areas.
Following a vote from reader’s of the Vela e Motore magazine, a shortlist of boats was drawn up in the five categories - motorboats, sailing boats, ships, multihulls and inflatable boats, before a jury of experts decided on a winner.
