The Axopar 45 is the flagship of the lineup and is available in five different styles including an open, a cabin version and three different types of hard top.

The 45 was designed from the outset to run a triple engine rig, specifically 3 x 300hp Mercury Verado V8s. Axopar opted for triples in order to optimise the boat’s power-to-weight ratio, which it says is better with three less powerful engines than two with more horsepower. The top speed is over 45 knots and it will cruise at 25 knots consuming 4.1l/nm.

The cockpit has a host of different layout options including a wet bar, a storage module or a large double cabin with its own bathroom. This is also the first Axopar to feature drop-down balconies on the main deck but, unlike the majority of the 45’s rivals, they are mounted amidships rather than in the cockpit.

On the lower deck, the open-plan cabin includes a large double bed, which converts into a sofa and a sizeable separate shower room with well over 6ft of headroom. It also has similar gull-wing doors the ones that were introduced on the mkII version of the 37, which create another access point to the cabin and improve natural ventilation.
