If luxury is your style then head to Halls 5, 6 and 7a - where the high-end international shipyards will be displaying their newest offerings, many on show for the first time to the public.

Premieres from the likes of Jeanneau, Invictus and Larsen are expected, but with luxury tenders and chase boats in vogue all of the top manufacturers will be present, as boot Düsseldorf offers a bigger luxury segment than ever before.

If you are interested in superyachts then Hall 7a should be on your list, as it features presentations from shipyards and yacht designers specialising in superyachts measuring over 25 metres.

Motorboating has six halls dedicated to it this year - including Hall 10 which includes a range of motorboats with 15HP. Boats of this size are often a good place to get started in boating, and as such there is a dedicated area in this hall for those new to boating and looking to learn more.

For an extra treat visit the sailing yachts in Hall 16 and see this year’s biggest sailing yacht celebrating its world premiere.

Hall 3 is the home of the Dive Center. Modelled on a Pacific diving center, the leading manufacturers in the diving world such as Aqualung, Suunto, Cressi, Garmin and Mares will be showing their latest products under real underwater conditions in the diving tower and pool.

If you are an adrenaline junkie then you should head to Hall 8a - an action packed hub for boardsports, not least for the chance to ride a giant stationary wave and enjoy the 1,400 square metre flatwater pool.

Hall 13 is the World of Paddling with the chance to go on a canoe tour or, if fishing is your thing, try out the latest equipment on the indoor pond in the Sportfishing Center.

Caring for the environment also is a strong theme at the show this year with Hall 14 dedicated to ocean protection and Hall 17 focusing on sustainability and e-mobility in boating.

On 21 January Price Albert of Monaco will present the Ocean Tribute award - an award aimed at projects working on the development of innovative, future-oriented technologies to protect and conserve the oceans

There are also some new additions to the Dive Center with its diving tower and pool that will only further cement its reputation as the event of the year for the diving community.

And of course there are the many new boats that will be on display for the first time at the show.
