The world’s most prestigious yacht show is set to return to Port Hercules in Monaco later this year as the 29th edition promises the most impressive range of superyachts in its history.

The world’s most prestigious yacht show is set to return to Port Hercules in Monaco later this year as the 29th edition promises the most impressive range of superyachts in its history.

Now firmly established as THE event in the superyachting calendar, more than 120 jaw dropping yachts are expected to line the port when it returns from 25 to 28 September.

Once again it will attract the crème de la crème of the superyachting world - with a chance to meet everyone from the yacht builders themselves to the interior designers and the crew, as well as learning about the latest gadgets, toys, electronics and equipment available.

Monaco Yacht Show 2019 - The Highlights

The 42,000 square metres of the glamorous Port Hercules will be dominated by the world’s top shipyards, with a record number of exhibitors, around 600 in total, expected to draw upwards of 30,000 visitors.

Superyachts

Records look like they will be broken at the show with around 125 superyachts, with a total worth in excess of €4 billion, going on display.

Over 40 yachts are anticipated to make their world premieres at the show and the size and the scale of the vessels continues to increase. There are two yachts over 100 metres in length, and another 14 over 70 metres in length.

With an average length of 49.5 metres and an average price of €37.8 million, the 2019 edition of the Monaco Yacht Show truly is going to be bigger and better than ever before.

Tenders and Water Toys

Slightly smaller, but by no means less luxurious, tender and water toy manufacturers will also play a big part at the show with over 50 pieces of equipment being showcased - over half of which are being presented for the first time.

Some wonderful tender and day boats will be on view, as well as some truly innovative and fun conceptions such as personal submarines, a bike board that lets you cycle on water and electric jet boards.

Car deck

It isn’t just water based luxury items that can be found at the Monaco Yacht Show, for a slight change of direction visit the Car Deck exhibition, where the world’s most prestigious car and bike makers display some breathtaking and tailor-made models.

Expect to see a mix of cutting edge new designs, iconic models and vintage styles at the Car Deck on Quai Antoine ler.

Everything else

You will find yacht builders, brokers and designers stands on the quayside close to their yachts, whilst the many manufacturers of nautical equipment can be found on Darse Sud and Quai Albert ler.

Head to the Parvis Piscine tent for an area dedicated to luxury products and services.

VIP experiences, events and awards

Monaco Yacht Summit

The Monaco Yacht Summit will take place on 24 September and is open by application only - it gives delegates an insight and understanding into different aspects of the superyacht sector.

It is open to around 40 pre-qualified individuals who will have an opportunity to discuss key topics and ask a diverse panel of experts questions ahead of the show itself.

Monaco Yacht Show gala

The same day, 24 September, the Monaco Yacht Show gala and awards evening will take place.

Guests including yacht brokers, builders, owners and prospective owners are invited to the event , the center piece of which is the esteemed Superyacht Award Ceremony.

Eighteen boats are vying for awards in four different categories: the Rina Award for the most eco-friendly superyacht, the Exterior Design Award, the Interior Design Award and the most vaunted of all - the Finest New Superyacht Award.

Sapphire Experience

The Sapphire Experience is for premium clients who are taking their first steps in the world of luxury yachting and are prospective superyacht owners or charterers.

It coordinates private visits on the most amazing superyachts and access to VIP lounges and evening receptions alongside numerous other invites to events held by luxury brands.

Upper Deck Lounge

The revamped Upper Deck Lounge is now located over two floors. 

The ground floor will play host to renowned exhibitors such as Agresti, Amaala, Dassault Aviation, Giobagnara, Paola Lenti and Preciosa as well as a bar with an outside terrace, while the first floor has a restaurant and VIP Lounge.

Starboard

Introduced in 2017 Starboard is an exhibition space dedicated totally to yachting lifestyle and showcasing the work of hand-picked companies.

Getting around

The improvements to the layout that were made for last year’s show will remain in place after much positive feedback from visitors.

Yacht builders, brokers and designers stands will now be located on quayside, in close proximity to their yachts, and the thematic zones that provide more fluid circulation around the quays and tents are retained.

As ever a network of electric golf carts are provided to shuttle visitors and exhibitors between the north and south docks of Port Hercules.

Tickets

A range of ticketing options are available for the show.

Daily passes are valid for a one-day visit on a day of your choice. You cannot access VIP lounges, or board yachts (unless specifically agreed) but you have access to all other areas of the show.

Visit and lunch passes offer the same benefits as a daily pass, but with the addition of a champagne welcome, lunch and a gift.

Limited edition Sapphire Experience passes offer an official VIP program. They are available to prospective charterers and purchasers of yachts.

A Professional Pass is valid for the four days of the show and is reserved for the professionals of the nautical and luxury markets.

The Upper Deck Lounge can also be booked for private events.

Getting to the show

Located 30km from Nice Côte d’Azur airport and the Nice railway station and in the heart of the Principality of Monaco, access to the show is plentiful and includes:

  • Helicopter - A shuttle is available between Nice airport and Monaco.
  • Car with Driver - A car service with a driver is available
  • Car - a courtesy car can be organised.
  • Bus - attendees can use the bus network of Monaco for free.
  • Boat - the main quays of Port Hercules are served by a regular shuttle boat service
