Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 34'9" beam and a 11'8" draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 988 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in late 2012. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in August 2015 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in November 2015.
Exterior Design
The Benetti design stands out with its sleek profile, characterized by a white hull and superstructure, boasting clean lines from the raked bow to the transom. Slim vertical rectangular glazing breaks along the waterline, with a grouping of three continuing to the stern. Extended gunwales add a distinctive feature, while vertical glazing is prominent across the deck levels. Teak handrails contrast beautifully with the white superstructure, providing visual interest and bold black lines create linear interest within the deck levels of the upper and sun deck.
Forward of amidships on the sundeck, side winged balconies protrude, enhancing the vessel's profile. The communication and navigation tower, while not prominent, angles sharply backward, adding to the yacht's modern aesthetic. A high mast stands high on the forward part of the functional foredeck where a crane is in place to launch and recover personal watercraft and tenders. Guest relaxation areas are provided under the canopy created by the sundeck overhang.
The transom opens up with the lowering of the door to extend the deck space and reveal the beach club. Guest access to the bathing platform is via an interior stairway, maintaining a clean line at the stern of the yacht. Side access forward on the main deck reveals a passerelle for boarding the tenders.
On the sundeck,a square jacuzzi is elevated to provide extensive views while relaxing in the bubbles. The teak guardrails provide a clear boundary, and seating is arranged throughout the deck area to ensure the very best views and accessibility. Full-height vertical glazing throughout the yacht ensures natural light floods the interior spaces.
Accessibility is a key feature of the yacht Aelia. All areas are wheelchair accessible, ensuring that every guest can enjoy its luxurious amenities and stunning views without limitations.
Interior Design
Aelia's interiors are opulent, showcasing beautifully patterned parquet flooring and decorative ceiling insets. The attention to detail is evident in the feature cornice finishing, adding a touch of sophistication. The walls are adorned with highly polished amber marble, enhancing the luxurious ambiance. In one salon, a padded leather bar takes center stage, accented with marble and brass features, complemented by stylish bar stools featuring metal and leather on a polished wood base. Elegant wingback chairs in a rich mid-blue complete the sophisticated setting.
Sumptuous sofas and armchairs grace rich silk mink rugs, creating a luxurious contrast against the parquet floor. Intricately patterned sections of mirror adorn the walls, reflecting the abundant light streaming in through the large windows. A circular formal dining table, seating ten guests, features chairs in warm mid-blue against dark wood, and a chandelier overhead elegantly illuminates the whole setting.
The cabins onboard Aelia are elegant, featuring standout pieces of furniture like French Louis XVI tulipwood and parquetry bedside cabinets. Rich luxurious velvet panels serve as bespoke headboards, complemented by silk throw cushions for added comfort. Lacquered walls and intricate patterns on the wardrobes add depth and sophistication to the space. Art Deco influences subtly emerge within the bathrooms, where antique mirrors are inset within cabinetry, adding a touch of vintage charm.
In an intimate salon, contemporary lights adorn vintage leather tables featuring walnut tops. Deep leather sofas, set against deep cream carpets, invite relaxation and conversation. The fusion of styles and eras creates a seamlessly relaxed and timeless ambiance, where guests can unwind in comfort and style.
