The 139.29m motor yacht Al Salamah was delivered to her owners in 1999 by German shipyard Lurssen. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Terence Disdale, while Lurssen is responsible for her naval architecture.

Design & Construction
Designed around a full displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 23.5m beam and a 5m draft. The yacht is built over 5 decks with an internal volume of 12,234 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a heli-pad.
Construction started in mid 1998 with the keel laid under the project name 'Mipos'. Launched in April 1999 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in September 1999.
