Lürssen Superyacht Pelorus Returns to Brokerage Market with €25M Price Reduction

The iconic 115-meter Lürssen superyacht Pelorus has re-entered the brokerage market, now listed at €160 million, following a substantial €25 million price reduction.

The sale of the Lürssen superyacht is being managed jointly by Dominic Millman of Burgess, Alex Banning of SuperYachtsMonaco, and Merle Wood of Merle Wood & Associates.

Launched in 2003, Pelorus was originally commissioned by a Saudi businessman who sought to extend his 72-meter yacht. Instead, designer Tim Heywood proposed a completely new build, resulting in the 115-meter Pelorus, which joined the ranks of the world’s biggest yachts and was the 11th largest at the time of her delivery. Built at Lürssen’s Schacht-Audorf shipyard in Germany, Pelorus features exterior styling by Heywood and interiors by Terence Disdale.

Major Refits and Upgrades

Pelorus has undergone three significant refits, including the addition of a second helipad in 2008. Her most recent refit, incorporating a special survey, is set for completion in April 2025.

Her steel hull shares design cues with Carinthia VII, featuring a high forebody and reverse sheer that sweeps down toward the stern. An additional design element inspired by the armour belt on HMS Belfast lends a distinctive aesthetic to the yacht.

Spacious and Luxurious Accommodations

The yacht for sale accommodates 24 guests across 12 ensuite cabins, with dispensation for up to 36 guests. The owner’s deck houses an opulent master suite with a private study and panoramic ocean views.

Pelorus offers an array of luxury amenities, including four pools, the largest located on the sundeck alongside a Jacuzzi flanked by sunpads. A wellness center provides a steam room and plunge pool, while a dedicated cinema room features Dolby Atmos sound and a selection of over 120 4K films.

Performance and Engineering

Powered by twin Wärtsilä 12V26 engines, Pelorus achieves a top speed of 20 knots and offers a 6,000-nautical-mile range at 16 knots. Four Quantum zero-speed stabilizers – two aft and two forward – ensure maximum comfort for guests both at anchor and underway.

An Opportunity for Buyers

Currently lying in Cyprus, Pelorus presents a rare opportunity to acquire a highly distinguished superyacht with a storied history and world-class pedigree. With her recent price adjustment, she is now positioned as one of the most compelling listings in the global yacht market.
