Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 37'6" beam and a 11'6" draft. The yacht is built over 5 decks with an internal volume of 1,218 GT (Gross Tonnes).

The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.

Exterior Design

The yacht's superstructure is defined by straight lines and geometric shapes, reflecting the 'squared' design concept by Glade Johnson. Large windows punctuate the exterior, providing ample natural light to the interior spaces and offering guests panoramic views of the ocean. These square and rectangular windows maintain a uniform aesthetic that is both modern and timeless.

On deck, the yacht's arrangement encourages outdoor living and entertainment. The aft beach deck area, free from the clutter of tenders and personal watercraft storage, is a prime location for relaxation and socializing. This space is enhanced by the convenience of direct access to the garage via a transom door, allowing for an unobstructed flow between the yacht's interior and exterior amenities.

The upper saloon extends to the main alfresco dining area, where guests can enjoy meals with a view. The furnishings on the outdoor decks are strategically placed to maximize comfort and the visual experience of the surroundings.

Attention to practicality is evident in the design features such as the gallery deck around the bow, which provides unhindered access for crew operations. The integration of the emergency generator's exhaust outlet, cleverly disguised as a fairlead, showcases the yacht's blend of aesthetic consideration and operational efficiency.

Bella Vita is purposeful and thoughtfully arranged, offering both visual appeal and practicality for an enhanced yachting experience.

Interior Design

The main wood finish throughout the owner and guest areas is burr maple veneer, complemented by accents of wengé, anigre, and ebony macassar. This restrained palette serves as a backdrop for a curated selection of artworks that introduce visual interest and a sense of personal identity to the various spaces.

In the upper saloon, a bar and games table provide a space for socializing and relaxation, while the interior dining area features a rectangular main dining table with a detailed marquetry of square macassar panels in an opposing-grain pattern. Lighting in this space is carefully considered, with a collection of 18 lamps creating an intimate atmosphere for formal dining.

The main saloon benefits from ample natural light thanks to its 14 windows and additional sliding glass doors that lead to the aft deck. The furnishings include a mix of armchairs, sofas, and coffee tables, arranged to encourage gathering and conversation, with a large television positioned for entertainment.

The design of Bella Vita extends to the stairway foyer, which is enclosed and features several doors leading to various interior spaces. The main foyer stairway is a striking feature, connecting the three interior decks with a bold, wengé-clad, three-storey grid wall containing inset panes of subtly textured art glass and mirrors.

Accommodation

Accommodations aboard Bella Vita are designed to host 12 guests in six suites. The owner's suite, situated on the forward section of the main deck is complete with a marble-clad en suite that features a whirlpool bath and a two-person shower with rain bars and aromatherapy steam functions. The suite's interior, consistent with the rest of the guest areas, showcases a refined selection of materials, including a burr maple finish.

Each guest cabin boasts natural light, custom bedding, and plush, stone-colored carpeting. The cabins come equipped with excellent en suite facilities, where extensive use of marble for floors, tops, seats, panels, and skirtings creates a serene environment. All guest cabins offer double beds, with the interiors mirroring one another in both layout and design—padded headboards, and contrasting wood finishes contribute to the cabins' harmonious ambience.

The VIP suite, positioned on the upper deck behind the captain's cabin, is accorded additional privacy and distinction. This suite, often regarded as the second in command to the owner's suite, provides its occupants with a space that is both luxurious and secluded.

In terms of crew accommodations, Bella Vita ensures that the team of up to 15 responsible for the smooth operation of the yacht is also well-catered for. Crew facilities are located on the tank deck, which includes the crew mess, laundry, and other service areas. These quarters are designed to be comfortable and functional, allowing the crew to rest and manage their duties efficiently.

Performance & Capabilities

Bella Vita is powered by twin 2,000hp Caterpillar 3512B main engines. These engines provide a top speed of 15 knots, cruising at 12 knots.  With this cruising speed, a range of 7,000 nautical miles can be achieved.

The yacht's cruising capabilities are enhanced by the inclusion of two HEM watermakers within the engine room, which have a combined production capacity of 30,000 liters per day. This system ensures an ample supply of fresh water for guests, negating any concerns about water consumption, even with daily washdowns.

Navigation is a serious affair on Bella Vita, with the bridge boasting exceptional equipment, including five 27-inch screens that ensure all necessary information is at the captain's disposal. Moreover, the yacht is ECDIS compatible and has multiple redundant systems to ensure safety and reliability at sea. These features underscore Bella Vita's readiness for extended voyages and the ability to undertake serious cruising.

The yacht's tenders are two 7.6-meter Vikal tenders, each powered by a Volvo Penta 300hp inboard diesel engine with Hamilton water jets and a bow thruster.

Amenities

A gym with all the latest equipment allows her guests to keep their workout routines while at sea. In addition, a swim platform is on hand for guests looking to cool off in the sea. The yacht features a tender garage with storage for a range of toys and accessories. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. The sundeck is the social hub of the yacht, with a deck jacuzzi for cooling off and an inviting spread of sunpads.
