Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure Lady Lara features a 14.35m (47ft) beam and a 4m (13.1ft) draft. The yacht is built over four decks with an internal volume of 2,945 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a helipad.

Construction started in late 2012 with the keel laid under the project name 'Project Orchid'. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in April 2015 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months and was delivered to her owners in November 2015.

Exterior Design

The exterior styling of the yacht carefully conceals utilitarian elements, ranging from navigation lights to life rafts, and ventilation to nearly imperceptible wing stations seamlessly integrated into the curved superstructure. Even the mooring equipment is discreetly tucked away behind covers that blend with the high-level bulwark. The artful carving into the voluptuous curves of the superstructure adds depth and shading, creating a captivating effect as the yacht shimmers when reflecting off the water.

Interior Design

The power duo of Pascale Reymond and Andrew Langton of Reymond Langton Design created the interior and exterior of the yacht Lady Lara in her original 2015 build. The interior furnishings, with a contemporary touch, embrace a reflective ambiance, allowing ample natural light to grace the salon and other interior spaces. Crystal chandeliers from Fendi provide graceful illumination to the aft deck salon and the owner's deck winter garden.

Curves impart a softness to the interior, emphasizing a sense of relaxation. The presence of soft, low leather sofas in an additional salon, along with subdued lighting and thoughtfully positioned honeycomb-designed chairs and bar stools, underscores the designer's meticulous attention to detail. The deliberate use of vivid blue accents strategically creates focal points within the prevailing cream and white color scheme.

Sycamore, artfully bleached to accentuate its ripple effect, was chosen to impart a subtle dimension to the walls. Over time, the sycamore has gracefully mellowed, acquiring a warmer hue with creamy and golden tones that seamlessly blend with the elegant white onyx that is used throughout.

Leading the eye through the immaculate white interior to the dining table is a prominent artwork featuring blue butterflies by Damien Hirst. Displayed in backlit nooks, custom china matching the painting adds a stylish touch. Above, a mirrored inset hosts a rectangular crystal chandelier, enhancing the overall aesthetic.

The signature double 'L' motif is elegantly integrated throughout, serving as a clear testament to the yacht's identity.

Accommodation

Lady Lara accommodates up to 16 guests across eight suites. The owner's deck features a generous master suite, complete with a private terrace showcasing a jacuzzi. The suite includes twin bathrooms, dressing rooms, and an adjacent library. A private foredeck area accessed through the forward-facing bedroom features a spa tub, and if choosing to entertain guests in an intimate setting, there is an ample aft deck area with a dining table, set inside the winter garden. Windbreaks provide shelter when required, or glass panels can enclose the space completely for year-round dining in comfort.

The main deck houses six cabins, all equipped with en-suite facilities, with two of the cabins featuring private fold-out balconies. Additionally, one more en-suite cabin is located on the lower deck.

On the lower deck, there are two twin-berth staff cabins available, offering comfortable accommodation for household staff or additional passengers as needed.

Lady Lara can comfortably accommodate up to 27 crew members on board, ensuring both efficient operations and a luxurious yacht experience for all guests.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V 4000 M63L) 16-cylinder 3,004hp engines running at 1800rpm, motor yacht Lady Lara is capable of reaching a top speed of 17 knots, and comfortably cruises at 14 knots. With her 220,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 6,000 nautical miles at an economic speed of 12 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.

Leisure & Entertainment

For an enhanced evening entertainment experience, the yacht's lines and facets come to life with an extensive 1,000-meter-plus architectural rope light system, casting a magical ambiance. Additional spotlights cleverly illuminate the yacht, further elevating the overall effect.

The entertainment system's versatility spans from a discreet low-profile club style to high-energy techno effects, with integrated party lights adding flair to create diverse settings. A highlight is the descent of a disco ball from above the deckhead to the dance floor over the main deck aft pool, transforming the space for lively gatherings. Alternatively, for a more laid-back evening, a cinema on the tank deck, accessible via a glass lift from the bridge deck, provides a cozy setting for movie enthusiasts.

Wellness

The bridge deck is the area for the spa treatments, featuring a beauty treatment salon, a massage room, a well-equipped gym, and a hammam for complete relaxation. The yacht is so well-equipped that it even features a jet and mudbath room and an ice fountain. Additionally, the owner's suite provides a private deck area complete with a private jacuzzi.

The yacht boasts two swimming pools, with the larger one situated on the main deck aft. This versatile space can be transformed into a dance floor, equipped with a custom surround sound system, by raising or lowering the floor as desired. The second pool, located on the sundeck, offers the convenience of a swim-up bar. Guests can relax on the ample sun loungers and daybeds available on this deck.

In addition, the expansive beach club features a sauna and steam room.

Amenities

A spacious glass elevator connects the guest decks to the bridge deck, ensuring comfortable accessibility for everyone on board.

Fold-down balconies offer convenient access to the water from the sheltered side decks, providing a private retreat away from the occasional hustle and bustle of the beach club, where the watersports activities are based.

Situated by the smaller pool on the sundeck, guests will enjoy the wet bar, lounging facilities, and a teppanyaki grill for relaxed dining.

Lady Lara's bow features a convenient touch-and-go helipad, ensuring easy logistics for yacht transfers or deliveries.
