  • 7,000 nautical mile range

Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 7.92m beam. The yacht has an internal volume of 350 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Exterior Design

Anne S. Pierce has a robust and functional exterior design, reflecting her origins as a converted commercial boat to an explorer yacht. Starting at the swim platform, the design prioritizes practicality with a port-side access gate and a starboard-side tender. The platform offers easy water access, making it suitable for various water activities.

Moving to the cockpit area, the starboard access gate leads to a space equipped with a barbecue grill, suitable for outdoor meals. The seating area provides a comfortable spot to enjoy the surroundings, whether anchored or docked. The deck includes heavy-duty bollards and additional seating on the port side.

The boat deck houses a large crane amidships and two tenders, with chocks for securing them when not in use. The design includes strategically placed radar/sat domes and a Starlink dish.

The flybridge, includes modular furniture and a wind-deflecting railing. A second barbecue is located here, along with a ladder for access to the radar mast. The flybridge offers an alternate control station with essential navigation controls.

The hull is constructed with 9.5mm steel, increasing to 12.7mm at the bow and stern for added durability. The deck design includes life rafts positioned for quick deployment and a breakwater to manage onboard water during heavy seas.

Interior Design

The interior design uses durable materials for longevity and ease of maintenance. The flooring mainly consists of hardwood, providing a solid and reliable surface throughout the vessel. Walls are finished with high-quality marine-grade panelling, resistant to the harsh marine environment. Stainless steel fixtures and fittings are used extensively, contributing to the yacht's industrial and polished feel.

The galley is designed with practicality and efficiency in mind. It includes a central island that serves as both a preparation area and a communal space for meals. The cooking facilities feature a large gas hob and oven, suitable for preparing meals for both crew and guests. Twin stainless steel sinks offer ample space for washing and food prep. Storage is abundant, with numerous cabinets and a pantry area. The galley also includes a dumbwaiter, good for the easy transfer of food and drinks to the upper decks.

The helm is a functional and well-equipped space, designed for optimal navigation and control. It features three multifunction displays, and a traditional ship's wheel, combined with modern thruster controls and VHF radios. The layout allows for nearly 360-degree visibility, enhancing safety and situational awareness. Additional seating is provided behind the captain's chair, allowing guests to observe and participate in the navigation process.

The main saloon includes a seating area on the port side, ideal for informal gatherings or enjoying a glass of wine. Large windows on both the port and starboard sides provide natural light, creating an open and airy atmosphere. The formal dining area, located on the starboard side, features a large table and seating, making it suitable for both everyday meals and special occasions. The headroom is generous, contributing to the overall sense of space.

The upper deck includes additional lounging areas, both covered and open, offering versatility depending on weather conditions. The modular furniture allows for flexible arrangements, catering to various social settings. Wind deflectors and railings provide additional comfort and privacy.

Accommodation

Ann S. Pierce accommodates up to eight guests in four well-appointed cabins, providing ample space and privacy for everyone on board.

The owner's suite is a highlight of the accommodation. It features a large double bed that guests can walk around, offering easy access from both sides. The suite has ample natural light thanks to large windows that provide stunning views. There's plenty of storage space, including drawers and hanging lockers, and a TV for entertainment. The ensuite bathroom is spacious, with extensive cabinetry for toiletries and a large shower.

The VIP cabin on the starboard side is equally impressive, with a large double bed and plenty of space to move around. It also features large windows that allow for natural light and scenic views. This cabin includes numerous power points for charging devices and ample storage space. The ensuite bathroom includes a large shower, vanity area, and additional storage.

The crew area features double beds, ample storage, and ensuite bathrooms. Each cabin is air-conditioned and equipped with a TV, offering a comfortable retreat for the crew after a day's work.

The crew mess includes an L-shaped seating area with a table and an air-conditioned crew galley. The galley is well-equipped with a large induction hob, plenty of cabinetry, and a fridge/freezer, ensuring the crew can prepare meals efficiently.

The crew area includes a dedicated laundry space with washer dryers and additional refrigeration. There is also a pantry for extra storage, ensuring the crew have everything they need for long voyages.

Performance & Capabilities

Anne S. Pierce is powered by a CAT D399 main engine. This 16-cylinder machine delivers 1,100 hp, allowing the vessel to reach a maximum speed of 12 knots. While the engine is capable of 1,100 RPM, it is typically operated at a more efficient 800 RPM to ensure both longevity and fuel efficiency.

The yacht cruises comfortably at a speed of 9 knots. One of its most remarkable features is its extensive range; with a fuel capacity of 21,000 gallons spread across six storage tanks and a day tank, the Anne S. Pierce can cover up to 7,000 nautical miles on a single refuelling. This range is ideal for long-distance voyages, making it a true global cruiser.

The vessel is equipped with two CAT generators to meet its electrical needs. The larger CAT 3306 generator produces 70kW of electricity and powers hydraulic systems, including the bow and stern thrusters. The primary generator during most operations is a CAT 3304, a four-cylinder unit delivering 70kW of power. For quieter operations, such as overnight anchoring, a smaller CAT 2.2 generator is used.

The bow thruster is a 26-inch Westec, and the stern thruster is a 22-inch Cobelt, both powered by the CAT 3306 generator.

The yacht includes a blue water desalination unit capable of producing 70 gallons of fresh water per hour for a steady supply of potable water even on extended voyages. Additionally, a shore power converter allows the vessel to connect to electrical grids worldwide. The engine room is also equipped with two air compressors, three 50-gallon electric water heaters, and two high-capacity bilge pumps that double as fire pumps.

The Anne S. Pierce is designed for stability, featuring bilge keels, fuel, and seawater ballast. A recent inclination test confirmed its exceptional stability, providing peace of mind during turbulent conditions.
