Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 22'8" beam and a 5'7" draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 142 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Exterior Design

At the stern, a fixed swim platform offers a stable departure point for water-based activities or a tranquil spot for guests to enjoy close proximity to the sea. The cockpit, directly accessible from the platform, serves a dual purpose as a recreational space for fishing or socializing, with the added practicality of direct access to the engine room through a transom door.

Ascending from the cockpit to the aft deck, guests are welcomed by an outdoor refrigeration unit, a high-gloss table accompanied by chairs and a wrap-around bench, inviting al fresco dining or casual relaxation. The opposing side hosts a bar area equipped with a sink and additional storage, reinforcing the yacht's capacity for entertainment.

The foredeck is accessed via side decks, providing a more intimate seating area and additional space for sunbathing or enjoying the forward view during cruising. The presence of a bosun's locker and the option to add extra sun pads cater to both the practical and leisurely needs of guests and crew.

Betsy's flybridge, accessible from the raised pilot house, is a notable feature, distinguished by a hardtop section that covers a significant portion of the space. This area is furnished with another high-gloss table, L-shaped seating, and a full bar setup complete with stools, further enhancing the outdoor living experience. A grill is discreetly integrated into the design, while the aft section of the flybridge is versatile, allowing for the arrangement of loungers or the storage of water toys and tenders, facilitated by an onboard crane.

Interior Design

The main salon has an expansive L-shaped sofa on the port side, providing ample seating for guests. The bar area, with a step-down feature, includes practical amenities such as a fridge, ice maker, and sink, offering a centralized location for refreshments and socializing.

The materials used throughout Betsy’s interior convey a sense of understated elegance. High-gloss wood finishes complement the soft furnishings, while durable stone surfaces add a touch of sophistication to the working areas. The flooring, chosen for both its aesthetic appeal and ease of maintenance, ensures a pristine appearance underfoot.

Lighting throughout the yacht is thoughtfully placed, with fixtures designed to enhance the ambiance without overpowering the spaces. Overhead lighting in the salon and bar area provides a bright and welcoming environment, while strategic placement of accent lighting creates a more intimate setting when desired.

The dining area is positioned to take advantage of the open layout. The potential for customization is present, with space for a dining table beneath an overhead light fixture, allowing for the creation of a dedicated dining experience according to the owner's preference.

In the raised pilot house, the helm is equipped with the necessary instrumentation and controls for navigation, all within easy reach of the plush helm chair. The layout is both practical and comfortable, with additional seating provided behind the helm for guests or crew to partake in the journey and enjoy the view.

The galley is a highlight of Betsy’s interior, boasting a full suite of Viking appliances that speak to the high standards set aboard the yacht. The substantial fridge and freezer, large sink, dishwasher, and trash compactor are all integrated within the space, maintaining clean lines and unobstructed movement. The country kitchen feel is further enhanced by a bar seating area and wraparound seating, making the galley not just a place for meal preparation but a convivial hub of the yacht.

Accommodation

Betsy provides comfortable sleeping arrangements for up to six guests across three well-appointed staterooms. The yacht features a dedicated Owner's suite, a VIP cabin, and an additional twin cabin to accommodate various guest configurations.

The Owner's suite features a king-size bed and a color palette that enhances the sense of space. The built-in dresser and television offer convenience and entertainment, while the suite's double-sided ensuite bathroom is equipped with a jetted tub that doubles as a shower and is finished with premium fixtures. A spacious walk-in closet, lined with cedar wood, completes the Owner's suite, providing ample storage for personal belongings.

The VIP cabin, often considered a secondary master, is bright and inviting, with a Pullman berth to accommodate an extra guest if needed. The attached ensuite ensures privacy and comfort. This cabin also includes ample closet space for guest storage.

For additional guests, the twin cabin offers two generously proportioned single beds and its own ensuite, mirroring the high standards found throughout the yacht.

Crew accommodations have been thoughtfully designed to ensure that up to four crew members can reside onboard comfortably, allowing for a high level of service and operation. The crew quarters include a captain's cabin and additional bunk beds, alongside a shared bathroom and shower facility. A full-size washer and dryer are neatly tucked away for convenience.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by MTU (DDC 12V2000) 1,350hp engines, Betsy is a performance-oriented yacht with a top speed of approximately 20 knots, allowing for swift passages and efficient cruising. At a more moderate pace, between 15 to 17 knots, she provides a comfortable and steady experience for guests on board, while optimizing fuel consumption.

Additional mechanical details include on-board generators positioned on each side of the engine room, ensuring a reliable power supply for all of Betsy's systems during extended voyages. The yacht's engineering space, with a sink and full-size washer/dryer, offers practical amenities for the crew to maintain operational standards.
