Design & Construction
Designed around a planing GRP hull and superstructure she features a 19'8" beam and a 6'5" draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 78 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Exterior Design
Big Mama features a raked bow that enhances its streamlined appearance and improves efficiency on the water. The hull is painted in a light blue hue, providing a serene and sophisticated aesthetic. The superstructure complements the hull with its clean white color, creating a pleasing contrast that is visually balanced. The deck is crafted from high-quality teak, known for its durability and elegance, offering both functionality and a classic maritime look. The boot top and the area below the waterline are both painted black.
The aft deck is accessible via steps on both sides and features an alfresco dining area with a large table. This space can be enclosed with a weather canvas to extend the saloon area when needed.
The extended aft flybridge is equipped with a custom sunbathing deck, a large sunpad, and a wet bar. The area is semi-shaded by a Bimini and hardtop, providing protection while still offering excellent views. The foredeck includes plush seating and a full sun awning, ideal for relaxing when at anchor.
The teak-laid swim platform at the stern ensures easy access to the water. It is large enough to stow a four-meter BRIG Eagle RIB with a Honda 60HP outboard engine, making it convenient for various water activities.
Interior Design
Big Mama's interior design is marked by its modern and distinctive aesthetic, featuring high-quality materials and thoughtful craftsmanship throughout. Upon entering through electronic sliding glass doors, guests are welcomed into an efficiently designed galley and main saloon. The galley is equipped with full-size refrigerators on both port and starboard sides, facilitating easy access and interaction.
The main saloon area is positioned forward and includes a custom-designed sofa with an ottoman to starboard and a chaise longue to port. A large rug ties these elements together, creating a cohesive and comfortable living space. A 65-inch television is discreetly hidden in the ceiling and can be deployed to display Raymarine navigation charts and cruising information as needed.
The upper saloon features a white leather sofa situated near a wet bar, providing a convenient space for relaxation and refreshments. The enclosed flybridge offers commanding views and is furnished with three helmseats arranged abreast. This area also includes a sofa and has electrically opening side windows and a sunroof, enhancing the overall experience.
Big Mama's interior design incorporates large windows that flood the spaces with natural light, offering unobstructed views. These windows are larger than those in previous models, emphasizing the yacht’s focus on a bright and open atmosphere. The use of electronic sliding glass doors not only adds a modern touch but also ensures easy and efficient access to different areas of the yacht.
Accommodation
Big Mama accommodates seven guests in four cabins, ensuring a comfortable and pleasant stay aboard. The arrangement includes a king-sized master suite, a VIP cabin, a twin cabin, and a fourth cabin configured as an office that can convert to accommodate an additional guest.
The master suite is full-beam, offering ample space and privacy. It features a king-sized bed, blackout blinds for undisturbed rest, wireless charging stations, and a refrigerated drawer bedside. Large hull windows on both sides provide natural light and ventilation. The suite is complemented by a cedar-lined walk-in closet and an en-suite bathroom equipped with his-and-hers sinks and a rain shower.
The VIP cabin, located forward, includes a double berth and en-suite facilities. The portside guest cabin has twin berths and also includes an en-suite. The fourth cabin, serving as a private office, integrates a Pullman berth hidden in the aft bulkhead to maximize space and functionality.
