Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 22' beam and a 4' draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 148 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Exterior Design
The exterior design of Electra is both functional and visually appealing. The yacht features a raked bow, which enhances its cutting performance through the water. The deck is constructed from high-quality teak, offering durability and a classic maritime look. The hull is painted in a light grey color, providing a modern and sleek appearance. The superstructure is white, contrasting effectively with the hull to create a clean and sharp visual profile. A red boot top stripe adds a touch of distinction above the waterline, while the area below the waterline is finished in black, ensuring optimal performance and protection.
Electra’s low-level cockpit is designed for easy access to the water, ideal for diving enthusiasts. The dive ladder and dedicated storage compartments for dive bottles, compressors, fins, and masks reflect a clear commitment to water activities. Additionally, the cockpit includes provisions for fishing, with rods and gear stored conveniently.
The semi-enclosed raised area, with removable clear Perspex panels, allows for climate control and versatility in different weather conditions. This space is effectively designed for both indoor and outdoor use, enhancing the overall functionality of the yacht.
Wide side decks provide safe and straightforward access around the yacht, with well-crafted wood cappings adding a touch of traditional craftsmanship. The walkways are spacious, allowing for easy movement from bow to stern. The exterior also features a shaded flybridge with a commanding helm position, offering excellent visibility.
The flybridge includes a dining area and a bar with an ice maker, refrigeration, and a sink. Additionally, a large tender secured with a hydraulic crane is located at the back, demonstrating the yacht's readiness for extended voyages and activities.
The foredeck is equipped with twin anchors and windlasses, ensuring stability and ease of anchoring. The helm is positioned forward, providing optimal visibility for navigation. The yacht's exterior design emphasizes practicality, safety, and ease of use, making it a reliable choice for extended outings on the water.
Interior Design
The interior design of Electra prioritizes spaciousness and functional elegance. The saloon and dining area merge into a single expansive space, creating an inviting environment for relaxation and socializing. The saloon is fitted with well-crafted wood cappings and offers a large open-plan area that avoids clutter, ensuring a smooth and unhindered flow throughout the main deck.
In the galley, practicality meets style. Equipped with modern appliances, the galley includes refrigeration units, a dishwasher, an oven, a microwave, and ample storage space. The design maintains an open feel, integrating seamlessly with the adjoining areas. The galley’s layout allows for easy meal preparation and cleanup, making it a functional hub of the yacht.
The helm station is designed for efficiency and ease of operation. It includes balanced stern thruster controls, autopilot, throttles, and multi-function displays for navigation and monitoring. The helm also features a side door, providing quick access to the side decks, enhancing maneuverability and operational convenience.
Throughout the interior, wood finishes and practical design elements contribute to a cohesive and functional environment. The design approach ensures that all areas are accessible and user-friendly, aligning with the yacht's overall ethos of providing a spacious and enjoyable experience on the water.
Accommodation
Electra accommodates a total of four guests in two large staterooms. This design choice was made to maximize comfort and usability, ensuring that each stateroom is generously proportioned and well-appointed.
The owner's suite is located on the lower deck and spans the full beam of the yacht, offering ample space and privacy. It includes a large walk-in wardrobe, multiple storage options including drawers and under-bed storage. The en-suite bathroom features dual facilities, with two separate toilets and sinks, and a shared central shower.
The second stateroom offers similarly luxurious accommodations, albeit slightly smaller in length than the owner's suite. It features a comfortable sleeping area, an en-suite bathroom with shower, ample storage including a walk-in wardrobe.
For the crew, Electra also provides excellent two well-sized cabins, each with its own en-suite bathroom. Laundry facilities with a washer and dryer are also available.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V 2000 M94) 16-cylinder 2,200hp engines, motor yacht Electra is capable of reaching a top speed of 31 knots, and comfortably cruises at 25 knots. With her 5,140 gallon fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 2,000 nautical miles at 10 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
