Liberty is a 25m motor yacht for sale delivered by Lyman-Morse in 2004. Lyman-Morse's in-house team has created the interior and exterior design of the superyacht.

Key Features

  • Hydraulic crane on pilothouse roof
  • Teak and holly interior
  • Full-beam saloon
  • 1,000nm range at 15 knots

Design & Construction

Designed around a planing GRP hull and superstructure she features a 5.9m beam and a 1.46m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks.

Exterior Design

Liberty presents a confident, retro-modern aesthetic with a smart navy blue hull and crisp white bootstripe - a nod to classic American commuter styling. Based on the popular MAGPIE design from the Setzer Design Group, this version stretches 6.5 feet (2 metres) longer and 1.5 feet (0.5 metres) wider, bringing her to 25 metres (82ft) overall. The increased length is most noticeable around the pilothouse, which now includes an extended footprint and a raised outdoor seating area just aft, set above the cockpit. Teak decking has been used across the pilot deck and exterior areas to complete the look. The yacht’s dinghy is stored securely on the pilothouse roof, launched and retrieved using a hydraulic crane.

Liberty's saloon is a showcase of classic mahogany and full-beam luxury.

Interior Design

Inside, the craftsmanship is unmistakable. The main saloon spans the full beam of the deckhouse, with large windows on both sides and forward that draw in natural light and frame uninterrupted views. Rich varnished Honduras mahogany dominates the space, enhanced by book-matched panelling and intricate inlays echoing traditional nautical motifs. Teak and holly soles run throughout, bringing warmth and continuity.

To starboard, a settee and armchair sit around a coffee table, while at the forward end of the saloon, a U-shaped settee wraps around a folding dining table, positioned on a slightly raised platform. The space is anchored by a full entertainment centre, including a 48-inch Samsung HD television and Sony stereo system.

Upstairs in the wheelhouse, the helm station is flanked by two L-shaped settees, each fitted with a varnished teak table in the aft corners - a sociable layout that adds both comfort and character. A central helm seat provides clear sightlines forward.

Accommodation

Liberty accommodates six guests across three well-appointed staterooms. The full-beam master suite sits amidships, joined by a generous VIP cabin with a queen-sized bed set athwartships - a feature made possible by the redesigned layout replacing two smaller cabins with one large space. A third twin cabin completes the guest setup. Each stateroom comes with its own en suite bathroom, entertainment centre, and Samsung television. She is also capable of carrying up to 2 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C18) 1,000hp engines, motor yacht Liberty is capable of reaching a top speed of 22 knots, and comfortably cruises at 18 knots. With her 11,355 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 1,000 nautical miles at 15 knots. Her planing hull design means she is fast and efficient as she slices through the water.

Liberty is a refined answer to anyone seeking classic American style with updated space.
