Galu is a 52.9m motor yacht delivered by Italian shipyard Benetti in 1977. Her naval architecture and exterior design comes from the drawing boards of Benetti, while Bannenberg & Rowell is responsible for her interior design.

Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 9.42m beam and a 2.74m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 543 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Exterior Design
Galu features a clipper bow that enhances its navigation capabilities. The deck is made of teak, which is both durable and aesthetically pleasing. The hull and superstructure are painted white, creating a cohesive appearance. The boot top is black, providing a clear visual separation between the hull and the waterline. Below the deck, the color scheme continues with black, ensuring consistency throughout the design.
The sundeck features an extended shaded area suitable for al fresco dining on the main deck. This area is equipped with tables, chairs, and a fully-stocked bar capable of accommodating up to 100 guests.
Interior Design
Galu's interior design was spearheaded by Jon Bannenberg, with a strong emphasis on functionality and understated elegance. The yacht's interior features satin-finished walnut and neutral-colored lacquerwork, chosen for their durability and timeless appeal.
The main saloon has been thoughtfully scaled down to foster a homely ambiance. Central to this space is a grouping of sofas which serve as the focal point, encouraging interaction and relaxation. The use of walnut and neutral tones extends throughout, contributing to the cohesive and tasteful design.
Galu is equipped with multiple hi-fi systems, both within individual cabins and on the exterior decks, ensuring a consistent audio experience throughout. The saloon features a large hidden television, maintaining the room's clean lines and uncluttered appearance.
Accommodation
Galu offers accommodation for up to 12 guests. The owner's stateroom, located on the main deck below the bridge, stands out with its four-poster bed upholstered in Valentino fabrics. This stateroom is also equipped with twin walnut chests-of-drawers topped with hand-stitched leather, adding a touch of elegance. The VIP stateroom rivals premier suites found on larger superyachts, ensuring guests experience the utmost comfort during their stay. Each cabin is equipped with its own separate hi-fi system, allowing guests to enjoy personalized entertainment.
She is also capable of carrying up to 13 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MAK (281 V12) 1,280hp engines, motor yacht Galu is capable of reaching a top speed of 16 knots, and comfortably cruises at 15 knots. With her 132,490 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 5,758 nautical miles at 15 knots.
