The 29.06m motor yacht Gatsby was delivered to her owners in 2020 by Italian shipyard Sanlorenzo. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Zuccon, while Sanlorenzo is responsible for her naval architecture.

Key Features

  • Flybridge with U-shaped sofa, alfresco dining
  • Asymmetric design for extra space
  • Four-stateroom layout with en suite heads
  • Spacious, appliance-rich galley

Design & Construction

Designed around a planing GRP hull and superstructure she features a 6.76m beam and a 1.98m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 160 GT (Gross Tonnes).

She was completed at Sanlorenzo's La Spezia yard in Italy where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners in December 2021.

Exterior Design

Featuring a raked bow, Gatsby exhibits a sleek and streamlined profile, which not only enhances its aesthetic appeal but also contributes to its hydrodynamic efficiency. The white color scheme of both the hull and superstructure is contrasted effectively with a black boot top and below the waterline coloring, creating a classic and timeless appearance.

The deck is finished with teak, a material chosen for its resilience and natural beauty, which adds to the yacht's overall appeal while providing a practical, non-slip surface for safety. The use of teak extends to the outdoor living spaces, further enhancing the yacht's connection with the marine environment.

On the exterior, Gatsby's flybridge is a highlight, boasting a U-shaped sofa and additional seating arrangements. A notable feature is the hardtop with a powered louvered section, allowing for adjustable sunlight exposure. This area includes alfresco dining for eight and is complemented by a propane grill and sink, enhancing the outdoor experience. The flybridge helm station is equipped with a two-person bench seat, providing a commanding view for navigation. Stairs lead to the lower helm station in the raised pilothouse.

The cockpit area extends the theme of functional elegance, with alfresco dining for eight shaded by the yacht's structure.

The foredeck of the Gatsby is equipped with a low-profile U-shaped sofa and table, positioned behind a two-person sun pad in the bow-rider spot. An additional three-person sun pad is accessible via a few steps on the port side.

Gatsby features a flybridge with U-shaped sofa, alfresco dining, four luxurious staterooms, and a spacious, appliance-rich galley.

Interior Design

In the salon, the furniture arrangement is deliberate, with an L-shaped settee and ottoman positioned to starboard, immediately inviting upon entry. This setup not only facilitates social interaction but also cleverly utilizes the space, accentuated by the absence of a gangway on the port side.

Adjacent to this seating area is a formal dining space capable of accommodating eight guests. The dining area benefits significantly from the yacht's asymmetrical design, offering additional space that contributes to the overall airy feel of the interior. A flat-screen TV mounted forward serves as a focal point and a divide between the salon and the galley.

The galley is equipped to cater to culinary enthusiasts, featuring a comprehensive selection of appliances from reputable brands. This includes a six-burner Miele stove top (electric induction), oven, convection oven, and dishwasher, complemented by a Viking microwave, a Sub-Zero refrigerator, freezer drawers, Isotherm ice makers, and a garbage disposal.

The helm stations are designed with practicality in mind. The lower helm station offers a single-seat configuration.

Accommodation

Gatsby is designed to comfortably accommodate up to eight guests across its four staterooms. This includes an on-deck master stateroom and three guest staterooms located below decks, each equipped with en suite facilities.

The on-deck master stateroom is a highlight, featuring a centerline king berth, a flat-screen TV, and the luxury of direct access to the side deck. This arrangement maximizes the use of natural lighting and ease of access to the yacht's external features.

Below decks, the VIP stateroom is positioned amidships, offering a centerline double berth, a desk, and a built-in bench seat. Additionally, one guest stateroom is equipped with side-by-side berths and an additional Pullman berth, making it versatile for various guest arrangements. The other guest stateroom also features side-by-side single berths.

For the crew, Gatsby provides well-appointed quarters that can accommodate up to four members.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (12v 2000 M86) 2,216hp engines, motor yacht Gatsby is capable of reaching a top speed of 32 knots, and comfortably cruises at 26 knots. With her 10,334 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 1,250 nautical miles at an economic speed of 10 knots.
