Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement composite hull and superstructure she features a 34'1" beam and a 9'6" draft. The yacht is built over 4 decks with an internal volume of 822 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in mid 2009. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in April 2012 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in October 2012.

Exterior Design

Helios 3's hull and superstructure are painted in white, presenting a clean and timeless look. The boot top and below-the-waterline areas are coated in black, creating a sharp contrast that accentuates the vessel's lines. The raked bow enhances the vessel's hydrodynamics, contributing to efficient movement through water. The deck is finished with teak, offering a classic appearance and functional resilience against the marine environment.

The sundeck is designed for social use, with a large area for dining, relaxing, and sunbathing. It includes a Jacuzzi minipool with a cascade feature, al fresco dining, a lounge area, a full island bar, an infrared grill, showers, and a head. Frameless glazing protects guests from the breeze, and two 42' plasma screens make the sundeck suitable for family film evenings.

The main deck cockpit is compact, serving primarily as a reception area and a shaded spot for afternoon tea. High gunnels and a single access gate to the portside transom staircase enhance security, especially for charter guests with children. The craneless tender garage, equipped with a retractable launch and recovery track, stows a 21'3" (6.50m) RIB, offering convenient 'drive-up' access.

The portside of Helios 3 provides discreet crew access to essential areas such as the engine room, galley, and forward technical area through sealed doors, while the starboard gangway is reserved for guest access. The foredeck features high coachroofs, twin circular skylights with stained glass, and a neat, uncluttered forward technical area. The concealed crane for the two Waverunners and gleaming Maxwell windlasses and stainless cleats reflect the yacht's high standards.

Treasures of the Pacific Ocean combine with a unique layout and clever engineering.

The Yacht Report

Interior Design

The interior design of Helios 3 focuses on a blend of natural materials and practical layouts, creating a welcoming and functional environment. The salon, with its Polynesian-inspired decor, features large rectangular lateral glazing that frames views and fills the space with natural light. The lounge area is defined by a bamboo frame in the headliner and furnished with freestanding Fendi sofas around a teak root burl coffee table.

The decor combines textured fabric liners, rattan, stripped wood soles, inlaid silk carpets, and joinery made from exotic hardwoods such as Koa, Wenge, and Mascassar ebony. The natural unfinished edges of the hardwood dining table and pebble details in the master en-suite maintain a consistent organic theme throughout the yacht.

The helm, located in the pilothouse, is leather-lined and illuminated with LiteTouch technology. It features Furuno and Transas navigation and communication systems. An observation lounge seating up to ten people is included, providing a comfortable space for guests to observe operations.

The main stairwell features a backdrop of woven coconut palm tiles and overhead beam detailing that reflect the yacht's Polynesian influence. Hand-blown glass light fittings and stained glass circular skylights in the owner’s office and fitness room add visual interest and accentuate the yacht’s aesthetic.
