Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement ice class steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 31'2" beam and a 11'8" draft. The yacht is built over 4 decks with an internal volume of 747 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in mid 2010. Launched in April 2011 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in September 2013.

Exterior Design

I-Nova features five decks plus a tank deck, providing ample space for fridges, freezers, and storage rooms. Despite its size, the yacht avoids a bulky appearance thanks to a diagonal design element amidship. This design cuts across horizontal planes, tapering into long aft decks. Additionally, the reverse windows of the wheelhouse and the owner’s panoramic lounge on the upper deck contribute a dynamic touch to the yacht's overall form.

In terms of materials, I Nova uses weathered teak flooring and limed teak bulkheads, complemented by furniture with dark brown wengé frames. These choices create a cohesive décor that is both modern and understated. The use of varied wooden surfaces offers both a tactile and visual experience. I Nova's color scheme is straightforward yet effective: the hull is painted in grey, the superstructure in white, and the boot top and below the waterline are both finished in black.

I-Nova also provides a good balance between indoor and outdoor spaces. There are several areas designed for socializing, such as the informal al fresco dining area on the bridge deck. For more intimate settings, the yacht features a small terrace in front of the panoramic lounge and a cozy sofa sheltered by the superstructure on the bridge deck.

The observation deck is another highlight, featuring gym equipment for fitness enthusiasts and a Jacuzzi for relaxation. This area combines functionality with leisure, offering a space where guests can enjoy panoramic views while working out or unwinding.

Interior Design

The main saloon is a central feature where the theme of the yacht’s interior becomes evident. It employs weathered teak flooring and limed teak bulkheads. The furniture is framed with dark brown wengé, creating a muted yet contemporary atmosphere with an ethnic influence. A carefully designed lighting system enhances the shapes and materials used. Varied wooden surfaces, offering tactile and visual interest, are a significant part of the yacht's design. A notable piece is the dining table in the main saloon, crafted from Kauri wood, one of the world's oldest timbers, provided by Italian furniture maker Riva 1920.

The owner’s panoramic lounge on the upper deck is accessible by a private staircase from the main deck suite. This space includes office facilities and a games area and features reverse windows that contribute to the dynamic design of the yacht.

Accommodation

I Nova can accommodate a total of 12 guests across fine well-appointed cabins. The master suite is located forward of the open-plan main saloon on the main deck. This suite features his-and-hers en suites along with a steam room, providing a luxurious and private retreat for the owner. The suite is embellished with Loro Piana fabrics that add a touch of softness to the contemporary furniture lines. A private staircase from the master suite leads to a panoramic lounge on the upper deck, which includes office facilities and a games area.

Adjacent to the owner’s panoramic lounge on the upper deck, the VIP cabin is situated aft on the port side. This cabin ensures VIP guests receive a heightened level of comfort and convenience.

On the lower deck, there are four additional guest cabins: two twin cabins and two double cabins. These cabins continue the yacht’s consistent stylistic theme and benefit from the yacht’s generous beam, which allows the double cabins to include cozy seating nooks.

She is also capable of carrying up to 10 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V2000M70) 1,410hp engines running at 2100rpm, motor yacht I Nova is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 13 knots. With her 33,022 gallon fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 5,500 nautical miles at 13 knots.
