Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement to planing GRP hull and a carbon fibre superstructure she features a 27'9" beam and a 7'5" draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 320 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the third yacht built on the Fast 125 design. She was completed at Benetti's Viareggio yard in Italy where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners in February 2017.
Exterior Design
The use of carbon fiber in the superstructure stands out as a significant technological advancement. This high-strength, lightweight material allows for a reduction in overall weight, which in turn provides a shallower draft, increased ceiling heights, and the installation of larger windows. The expansive windows on Inspiration are a notable feature, enhancing the visual connection to the sea and flooding interior spaces with natural light.
Equipped with a wave-piercing bow, Inspiration slices through water with efficiency, maintaining a stable and level ride even at higher speeds, nearing 23 knots. This design feature contributes to fuel economy and extends the yacht’s waterline for better performance.
The propulsion system of Inspiration deserves attention, as it incorporates carbon fiber Rolls-Royce pods. The positioning of these pods at the stern, with propellers facing forward, maximizes water contact, achieving greater efficiency compared to traditional shaft-driven systems. Additionally, the pods' ability to swivel independently up to 35 degrees each grants the vessel exceptional maneuverability, simplifying docking and navigation in tight spaces.
Functionality extends to the stern area, where a modestly sized beach club provides a welcoming entry point to the yacht from the water. The engine room's placement towards the rear affords ample space and accessibility for maintenance, while the full beam garage forward of it offers storage for a 5.65-meter Williams diesel tender and two jet skis, each with its own crane. This strategic layout also serves to insulate guest cabins from engine noise, enhancing the onboard experience. The exterior furniture is chosen with precision, prioritizing quality over cost.
Interior Design
The lighting onboard is carefully planned to enhance the ambiance without becoming a focal point. It is designed to complement the interior spaces, providing adequate illumination while maintaining a sense of understated elegance. The use of onyx in the bar and bathrooms, along with silk carpets sourced from China, underlines the attention to detail and commitment to utilizing fine materials throughout the vessel.
The galley is equipped with professional-grade appliances and is designed for efficiency and practicality. The layout allows for a smooth flow of service, with ample space for the preparation of meals. The choice of materials here is geared towards hygiene and ease of cleaning, with surfaces that can withstand the rigors of daily use in a busy yacht kitchen.
Attention to detail is evident in the construction of Inspiration, where even minor elements receive careful consideration, evidenced by custom fittings such as stainless steel light switches and thick glass in the showers.
Accommodation
Inspiration boasts accommodation for up to 10 guests across five suites, ensuring a comfortable and intimate setting for all on board.
The owner's suite is designed with two private balconies, providing an exclusive retreat for the owner. The balconies offer a unique space to enjoy the surrounding seascape in complete privacy and tranquility.
Further enhancing the guest experience, Inspiration has four additional cabins that are beautifully appointed and crafted with attention to detail. These cabins are configured to optimize space, comfort, and privacy for each guest, ensuring a restful and luxurious stay.
For the crew who play an integral role in the smooth operation of the yacht and the comfort of guests, separate accommodations are provided. These are tailored to ensure that the crew of up to seven can maintain the highest standards of service while having their own dedicated spaces for rest and privacy.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V 2000 M96L) 2,636hp engines, motor yacht Inspiration is capable of reaching a top speed of 22 knots, and comfortably cruises at 17 knots. With her 6,604 gallon fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 1,750 nautical miles at 12 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.
Amenities
A gym with all the latest equipment allows her guests to keep their workout routines while at sea. In addition, a swim platform is on hand for guests looking to cool off in the sea. Inspiration also features an inviting spread of sunpads and deck jacuzzi which provides excellent views.
