Lady K II is a 57.6m classic yacht delivered by A&P Group in 1961. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Yutaka Jojima, while Alpha Marine is responsible for her naval architecture.

Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and superstructure she features a 8.81m beam and a 3.6m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 677 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in early 1960. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. She was delivered to her owners in July 1961.

Exterior Design

The exterior design of the Lady K II features a clipper bow that contributes to its sleek and classic profile. The deck is constructed with high-quality teak, providing a durable and elegant surface underfoot. The hull and superstructure are painted in a clean white, offering a cohesive and refined appearance. A contrasting black boot top stripe and below-the-waterline color add a touch of definition and sophistication to the overall look. 

The sun deck extends forward along full walk-round side-decks to the foredeck, while the boat deck above features another walk-round. Each of these three decks offers distinct outdoor living spaces. The sunken aft deck provides a semi-enclosed area for bathing, the sun deck is designed for alfresco dining and outdoor living, and the boat deck offers a small, cushioned seating area.

Interior Design

The main saloon is characterized by fine mahogany paneling and soft furnishings that create a comfortable atmosphere. The room, originally smaller, has been extended into the former dining room, maintaining separate identities with curtains and floor-to-ceiling paneled screens. The high-quality mahogany joinery, mainly executed by Greek craftsmen, adds to the refined look of the space.

Subtle lighting and deep-piled woolen custom carpets from England enhance the room’s ambiance. The saloon's design allows for the removal of certain elements, enabling the panel work to be dismantled and reassembled for easy access to technical services. Noise suppression measures ensure the interior is isolated from engine vibrations, making it a quiet and peaceful space.

Adjacent to the main saloon is a hallway that connects to the guest staterooms and the sun deck. This hallway includes a well-decorated powder room featuring Italian decorative paneling. The dining room, located forward of the main saloon, is equipped with an inlaid briar and mahogany dining table beneath antique chandeliers, adding a touch of elegance.

The upper deck saloon serves as a less formal gathering area with a bar, fireplace, card table, and deep sofas. It is designed for relaxation and entertainment, offering a cozy environment for guests. The upper deck also features floor-to-ceiling paneled screens draped with cream curtains, separating the dining area from the saloon.

Accommodation

The owner's suite is a standout feature of Lady K II. Located on the forward part of the sun deck, the suite is accessed through a small study area furnished with mahogany library shelves, a bureau, and buttoned leather chairs. The passage leads to the main bedroom, which is circular in design. The suite is equipped with a king-sized bed, settees flanking the bed, and two luxurious bathrooms. One bathroom includes a centrally placed Jacuzzi, while the other features a gold-plated rain shower, both adorned with fine marble. Adjacent to the owner's suite is a twin-bedded cabin, ideal for children or personal staff, featuring its own separate entrance.

Four large guest staterooms are located on the main deck, each with identical en-suite bathrooms and individually adjustable air-conditioning. Two staterooms are typically arranged with double beds, while the other two can be configured as either twin or double beds, offering flexibility for charter guests.

On the lower deck, three additional staterooms are available, featuring similar furnishings and facilities as those on the main deck. These staterooms include fitted television and audio-video equipment, although the headroom is slightly lower.

The crew of Lady K II is accommodated in roomy and comfortable cabins. Officers have single or double cabins, while other crew members are housed in cabins accommodating two or four individuals. Each cabin is equipped with its own head and shower room. A large crew mess with its own galley is located on the lower deck, adjacent to the main galley.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel Sulzer Ltd (TAD 24) 8-cylinder 840hp engines, motor yacht Lady K II is capable of reaching a top speed of 14 knots, and comfortably cruises at 10 knots. With her 104,100 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 8,061 nautical miles.

Amenities

A gym with all the latest equipment allows her guests to keep their workout routines while at sea. The yacht is also home to a beauty salon which features all of the facilities required for a number of different beauty treatments. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Lady K II also features deck jacuzzi which provides excellent views.
