The 24.59m motor yacht Maravi was delivered to her owners in 2022 by Italian shipyard Sanlorenzo. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Officina Italiana Design, while Sanlorenzo is responsible for her naval architecture.
Key Features
- Accommodates 8 guests, 4 suites
- Full-beam owner's cabin with ensuite
- Internal flybridge access
- Tender garage with launch platform
Design & Construction
Designed around a planing GRP hull and superstructure she features a 5.74m beam and a 1.83m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 70 GT (Gross Tonnes).
She was completed at Sanlorenzo's La Spezia yard in Italy where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners.
Exterior Design
At the stern, Maravi features an innovative garage system that accommodates a tender in a transverse position. The tender is launched by extending it on tracks onto a submergible platform, which simplifies the process and maximizes space efficiency. The platform also serves as a convenient area for water activities when the tender is in use.
The flybridge access is uniquely situated within the interior, a distinct design choice that differentiates Maravi from other yachts in her class. This internal staircase leads to an expansive flybridge, complete with a hardtop and adjustable louvres, allowing for customizable sunlight exposure. The area is furnished with a variety of seating options for dining and relaxation, as well as a bar equipped with a barbecue, sink, ice maker, and refrigerator.
On the foredeck, Maravi offers an additional social space, shaded by a bimini top. This area is designed for guest interaction, featuring comfortable seating and sunbathing options. The anchor handling setup is neatly integrated, ensuring functionality without compromising the yacht's sleek appearance.
The side decks of Maravi offer unobstructed passage around the yacht, facilitating easy movement for both guests and crew. Engine access is discretely positioned, maintaining the yacht's streamlined look while ensuring essential service points are readily accessible.
Interior Design
In the salon, the use of light wood, combined with neutral tones and subtle textures, complements the ample natural light that enters through the expansive windows. A retractable television is cleverly concealed, emerging only when in use, ensuring that the clean lines of the space remain uninterrupted. The sideboard serves a functional purpose, offering storage for crockery and housing a discreet refrigerator.
The main dining area is strategically positioned to encourage social interaction, with a design that facilitates ease of service from the adjacent galley. The galley itself is equipped with modern appliances and ample storage, including extensive refrigeration, a cooking range, and a dishwasher. The choice of materials here is practical, emphasizing hygiene and maintenance, with surfaces that are easy to clean and durable enough to withstand the rigors of meal preparation at sea.
The lower helm position is a study in efficiency and design, with instrumentation and controls laid out in an intuitive manner. A small dining nook adjacent to the helm provides an informal space for breakfast or casual meals, with excellent visibility for enjoying the view while underway.
Lighting throughout Maravi is thoughtfully placed, enhancing the ambiance and functionality of each area. It is designed to be adjustable, allowing for the creation of the appropriate mood for different times of day or night, whether it is bright illumination required during activities or softer lighting for relaxation in the evening.
Accommodation
Maravi offers accommodation for up to eight guests across four well-appointed cabins. These cabins are thoughtfully designed to optimize space and provide a restful experience at sea.
At the heart of Maravi's accommodation is the owner's cabin, a full-beam sanctuary that showcases the yacht's significant breadth. This cabin is a study in spatial efficiency, featuring substantial wardrobe space on either side, a dressing table, and additional storage solutions. The larger wardrobe on one side is complemented by a spacious walk-in wardrobe, demonstrating a keen understanding of the storage needs for extended voyages. The owner's suite is further enhanced with a large en suite bathroom, complete with all the necessary facilities for privacy and convenience.
Adjacent to the owner's cabin is the VIP cabin, which is positioned forward and offers guests a sizeable, welcoming space complete with an en suite bathroom that includes a shower and essential amenities. The attention to detail is evident in the cleverly hidden television behind the mirror and the ample storage options, ensuring guests have everything they need at their fingertips.
Adding to the guest accommodation are two twin cabins, each thoughtfully furnished with two single beds and benefiting from natural light. Both cabins feature wardrobes and en suite bathrooms, maintaining the same level of attention to detail and comfort found throughout Maravi. The inclusion of AV equipment and thoughtful touches like the backlit wardrobes add to the overall experience, ensuring a pleasant stay for all guests onboard.
Maravi is also capable of carrying up to three crew members, ensuring every aspect of the yacht experience is catered for with professionalism and discretion. The crew accommodation consists of a single cabin with two beds, a wardrobe, and an en suite bathroom, ensuring the crew has their own comfortable and private space. The presence of a window in the crew cabin offers natural light, contributing to a more pleasant environment for those who work tirelessly to provide guests with an impeccable yachting experience.
Performance & Capabilities
Equipped with twin diesel MTU (10V2000 M96L) engines, each producing 1,622 horsepower, Maravi exhibits impressive power. These robust engines enable the yacht to achieve a top speed of 30 knots, which allows for swift passages and the ability to outrun inclement weather if necessary.
Maravi's cruising speed is set at a comfortable 23 knots. At this pace, guests can enjoy a smooth journey with reduced travel times between destinations, making the most of their time at sea. The yacht's planing hull design contributes significantly to her speed and efficiency, allowing her to move through the water with minimal resistance.
The yacht's range and fuel consumption are directly related to her operational speeds. When cruising at 23 knots, Maravi can cover significant distances, offering both the thrill of high-speed cruising and the practicality needed for longer voyages.
Mechanical systems on Maravi also include advanced stabilizers, which serve to enhance onboard comfort by reducing the yacht's roll motion at sea. These stabilizers are particularly beneficial when at anchor, providing guests with a more stable and enjoyable experience.
In terms of navigation and maneuverability, Maravi is equipped with modern controls and systems that ensure precision and ease of handling, reflecting the yacht's focus on delivering both performance and a high level of control to the captain.
