Delivered in 1988, Mysorah is a 48.9m motor yacht built by Dutch shipyard Feadship. The yacht's elegant exterior design is by Glade Johnson Design, while her interiors are the work of Patrick Knowles.

Design & Construction

Designed around a full displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 8.5m beam and a 2.4m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 461 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a heli-pad.

Exterior Design

Mysorah features a clipper bow design, providing a distinctive and functional profile. The deck is crafted from teak, offering durability and a classic appearance. The hull and superstructure are painted white, creating a clean and cohesive look. The boot top and below-waterline areas are black, adding a sharp contrast to the yacht's overall color scheme. This straightforward exterior design prioritizes function and durability while maintaining a timeless aesthetic.

On the main deck, the forward section houses essential elements like seating and anchor windlasses. These features are arranged for ease of access and efficient operation, contributing to the yacht's operational capabilities. The bridge deck offers central access, leading down to the foredeck area. This layout ensures that movement around the vessel is intuitive and efficient.

The flybridge, designed for optimal visibility, includes control positions that are ideal for navigation in various environments such as coral waters or inland waterways. The flying bridge also provides excellent docking visibility with controls duplicated on the main bridge wings.

Mysorah is equipped with two 6-meter Boston Whalers and a 4.2-meter Zodiac runabout. These are stored on the boat deck, ensuring they are readily available for use. The yacht's exterior is finished with careful attention to functional details, such as sound insulation and machinery mounting, which contribute to a quiet and smooth operation.

Interior Design

The interior design of Mysorah, executed by Steve Chase Associates of California, emphasizes light and space with subtle, feminine touches. Throughout the yacht, light-colored woods and pastel fabrics create an airy and inviting atmosphere.

In the main saloon, white ash woodwork is prominent, complemented by sofas and comfortable chairs that contribute to a relaxed environment. A small piano in this area suggests the possibility of impromptu musical entertainment. The saloon opens onto a covered aft deck outfitted with a bar, tables, and comfortable seating, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor entertaining. Portable screens are available on this deck to accommodate cooler climates.

The dining room, located at the forward end of the main saloon, features a glass-topped table with a natural crack pattern. It seats eight and is accented by a bright and colorful painting of a river scene by Dufy, which hangs on a mirrored wall. An etched glass screen separates the dining room from the main saloon, maintaining an open and spacious feel.

The galley, positioned on the main deck forward of the dining room, is equipped to a high standard akin to a quality restaurant. This large, well-equipped kitchen serves both guests and crew efficiently.

On the upper deck, a smaller saloon located abaft the bridge and captain's accommodation provides a more intimate setting. Decorated in sycamore woodwork with pink and gray furnishings, this area offers a light and sunny atmosphere, ideal for a private retreat from the main saloon.

The helm of Mysorah is fitted with the latest in navigational technology, specified by the American captain. The helm includes advanced equipment such as the Sperry collision avoidance radar and the Chartnav digitized chart display from Laserplot Inc. These tools provide precise navigation and ease of operation, enhancing the yacht's capabilities for extended voyages. The bridge also includes conventional radar, a video depth sounder, an autopilot, and a satellite communications system for global connectivity.

Security cameras installed around the yacht are monitored from the bridge, the galley, and the crew's mess, ensuring continuous oversight. The lack of vibration from the main engines while underway is notable, a result of detailed attention to propeller matching, hull design, machinery mounting, exhaust silencing, and sound insulation.

Accommodation

Mysorah offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in five suites. Situated at the forward end of the main deck, the owner's stateroom spans the full width of the yacht. This suite features a sitting room and dressing rooms, partially separated by etched glass screens. The use of light sycamore woodwork and pastel fabrics enhances the natural light flooding in through the windows.

The lower deck aft houses four guest staterooms, accessed via a stairway from the main saloon. This area opens into a spacious hallway adorned with a light parquet floor and mirrored ceiling. The twin-bedded suites at the aft and the double cabins forward are decorated with light bird's eye maple woodwork and pastel fabrics in shades of pink, gray, and turquoise. Each cabin is equipped with opening portholes for ample natural light. The bathrooms in these staterooms are finished in various shades of figured marble, providing a modern contrast.

This exceptional stateroom extends the full width of the yacht and is located forward of the engine room on the lower deck. It is accessible via a private stairway from the entrance hall. Decorated with sycamore woodwork and warm pink tones in the carpets and sofas, it also features a large bathroom finished in figured white marble and sycamore.

The crew accommodation is situated on the lower deck forward and includes four twin cabins, a crew mess, laundry, cool room, and freezer room. 

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V 2000 M61) 12-cylinder 805hp engines running at 1800rpm, motor yacht Mysorah is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 13 knots. With her 54,720 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 5,182 nautical miles at 10 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.

Amenities

A gym with all the latest equipment allows her guests to keep their workout routines while at sea. In addition, a swim platform provides easy access to the ocean. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Mysorah also features a deck jacuzzi for cooling off.
