Nordic Star is a 91'10" classic yacht delivered by Lantana Shipyard in 1969. Her interior and exterior has been penned in-house by the Lantana Shipyard design team.

Design & Construction

Designed around a full displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 22'4" beam and a 5'11" draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 99 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Exterior Design

Nordic Star is painted in a classic white finish for both the hull and superstructure, creating a clean and timeless appearance. The deck is made of teak, providing a sturdy and comfortable walking surface that is also visually appealing. The boot top is highlighted in red, adding a touch of distinction, while the below-the-waterline section is finished in blue, maintaining a cohesive look. The clipper bow enhances its seaworthiness, cutting efficiently through the waves.

The exterior design includes a large boat deck that currently accommodates two big tenders, with space for even larger tenders, facilitated by a central 2,000-pound crane. The Portuguese bridge offers easy access to the bow and mooring stations, enhancing docking convenience. The aft deck, although small, is equipped with another docking station facing the stern, contributing to the vessel's manageability.

The bridge is accessible directly from the aft deck. Below, the main aft deck features two separate tables for alfresco dining, and a cockpit provides additional space for fishing, sunbathing, or sea access.

Interior Design

Upon entering Nordic Star, one is greeted by teak paneling that evokes the classic maritime heritage. This choice of material not only adds durability but also enhances the overall aesthetic, reminiscent of mid-20th-century yachts.

The galley, located forward, is spacious for a yacht of this size. It features stainless steel surfaces, which are practical for maintenance and impart a clean, professional kitchen feel. High-end appliances and a large refrigerator ensure that meal preparation is efficient.

Moving to the helm, the bridge area includes navigational tools and controls that facilitate safe and precise handling of the vessel. The bridge's direct connection to the aft deck provides convenient access and enhances operability, making it suitable for owner-operator scenarios.

The main aft deck seamlessly transitions to the interior, where the saloon maintains a consistent nautical theme. The teak paneling continues here, complemented by carefully selected fabrics and textures that reflect the yacht's historical roots. 

Accommodation

Nordic Star is designed to accommodate up to six guests. Below deck, the accommodation includes three well-appointed cabins. The owner’s suite includes a large bed and a private ensuite bathroom, which is fitted with elegant white marble and varnished teak wood. The bathroom includes a spacious shower.

In addition to the owner's suite, there are two guest cabins below deck. Each cabin is equipped with twin beds. The design of these cabins stays true to the yacht’s classic nautical theme, combining simplicity and elegance. The ensuite bathrooms in the guest cabins echo the design of the owner's suite, featuring clean lines, marble surfaces, and varnished teak wood.

The crew quarters are located forward and include a comfortable seating area and a dinette. The crew quarters are designed with practicality in mind, featuring a large washer and dryer, and ample storage space. There is one cabin with a single bunk and another cabin with three bunks, along with a spacious bathroom.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (D343T) 465hp engines, motor yacht Nordic Star is capable of reaching a top speed of 13 knots, and comfortably cruises at 10 knots. With her 4,050 gallon fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 3,000 nautical miles at 10 knots.
