Exterior Design
The exterior of the yacht Norn, crafted by Espen Oeino, is a study in geometric precision. The design is characterized by its flat surfaces, straight lines, and angular corners, which create a striking profile against the open sea. The yacht's silhouette reflects a disciplined approach to naval architecture, with every line and shape serving a purpose.
Norn's outdoor spaces are thoughtfully designed to offer both entertainment and functionality. The open-air cinema provides guests with an impressive viewing experience amidst the tranquility of the ocean. The main deck aft houses a large pool, notable for its adjustable floor that can cater to various recreational needs. When the pool is not in use, the floor rises to create an illuminated dance floor, offering a versatile space for evening entertainment.
Interior Design
The interior styling contrasts with the military-style exterior, embracing a softer ambiance. It is clean, with a touch of Scandinavian flair, avoiding minimalism. Various color themes define different areas of the yacht, utilizing over 100 different fabrics for wall panels, upholstery, and exterior furniture. The upper salon and staircase exude warmth with accentuated Indian apple wood, adding a reddish tint. The flooring is a blend of stone and carpet, accentuated by limed oak borders.
Accommodation
The yacht is designed to accommodate a maximum of 16 guests, complemented by a dedicated crew of 20 to ensure an exceptional experience for everyone on board. Guest cabins are situated on the main deck, allowing for natural light to illuminate the interiors. For the owner's exclusive comfort, there is a dedicated deck.
Performance & Capabilities
Motor yacht Norn is capable of reaching a top speed of 17 knots, and comfortably cruises at 14 knots. Stabilizers have been installed to enhance onboard comfort, especially when the yacht is anchored in challenging waters. The yacht's power comes from two MTU diesel engines.
Leisure & Entertainment
The yacht NORN offers an open-air cinema and a versatile pool floor that can be adjusted to various depths, seamlessly integrating a dance floor with illuminating features into its design. A wine cellar has the capacity for more than 500 bottles.
Wellness
The spa area on the lower deck features a gym, hammam, massage room, and cold plunge pool. More gym space is made available on the sundeck, with a large spa pool forward, in addition to the larger pool on the main deck aft. This larger pool has a lifting floor and dancefloor illumination.
Amenities
The yacht is equipped with a dynamic positioning system, facilitating electronically assisted anchoring in delicate and distant areas. This not only safeguards the seabed but also ensures secure mooring irrespective of water depth, enhancing environmental protection in sensitive regions. An Airbus helicopter EC135 has been spied on the large helipad on the upper deck. A helipad onboard is for guest convenience and ease of transfer.
