Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 11m beam and a 3.7m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 1,531 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in late 2005. Launched in May 2008 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in September 2008.

Exterior Design

The exterior design of Nourah of Riyad is characterized by a sophisticated and elegant profile. The exterior styling, executed by designer Donald Starkey, integrates ample deck spaces and a notable style line that connects the mezzanine deck level in the forward section with the sun deck's aft overhang. The color scheme is straightforward and classic. The hull and superstructure are painted white, creating a clean and timeless look. Blue accents are present in the boot top and antifoul paint, adding a subtle contrast to the overall appearance.

One of the notable design features is the use of mezzanine decks in the bow area. This design elevates the crew quarters into the bow's flare, providing more space, and lifts the master suite for unobstructed views over the bow. This setup also improves forward visibility from the bridge.

The top deck culminates in a forward spa pool surrounded by sun mattresses, offering extensive open-air space. The yacht's layout includes provisions for water sports, with a large tender garage at the stern equipped with two seven-meter Castoldi jet tenders. The garage doors hinge down to create a sizable deck area, and the tenders are launched using deckhead-mounted cranes.

The vessel's high bow design is optimized for Mediterranean weather, effectively handling rough seas with minimal water intake. The high-aspect-ratio rudders and twin pairs of Quantum zero-speed stabilizers ensure the yacht maintains a steady course and stability even in challenging sea conditions.

Interior Design

The main saloon features two round tables with wedge-shaped ottomans, providing flexible seating arrangements. Screens and watertight doors on either side of the room can be opened to create airy sea balconies, enhancing the space. The main circular dining table accommodates 12 guests comfortably.

The deck saloon, located near the aft entrance, has an oak floor and contains a bar and casual furniture, offering a relaxed space for guests to pause before entering the main saloon. The upper dining saloon is designed to host dinner parties for up to 36 guests, with curved windows that extend the space to the outdoor environment.

A fully equipped cinema on the main deck provides an alternative to outdoor activities, featuring nine ultra-comfortable armchairs and a large plasma screen. The cinema’s deckhead is designed with a star-studded theme, adding a unique touch to the viewing experience.

The observation lounge, adjoining the two identical master suites, offers panoramic views over the bow through 130-degree windows. This lounge provides a spacious and comfortable area for guests to relax and enjoy the scenery.

The interior spaces are characterized by the use of rich materials, including oak for flooring and various types of marble, supplied by Italian company Magma, for the bathrooms and other areas. Nourah of Riyad's German-based interior fit-out contractor, Sinnex, created exemplary panelling, particularly noticeable in the VIP cabin and other guest areas.

The main staircase and lift, encased in marble, serve all four deck levels, including the sun deck, ensuring easy movement between different parts of the yacht. The galley and servery on the main deck, along with an upper-deck servery adjacent to the dining saloon, facilitate efficient food service, supported by a small food lift.

Accommodation

Nourah of Riyad offers accommodation for up to 18 guests, ensuring a comfortable and private experience. The yacht features two identical master suites located port and starboard on the main deck. These suites are designed with an adjoining large observation lounge that provides expansive views over the bow.

In addition to the master suites, there is a VIP cabin on the lower deck. This cabin is distinguished by its larger floor area and enhanced shower room, offering an elevated level of comfort. Furthermore, the VIP cabin boasts large windows for wide views, enhancing the guest experience.

The lower deck also houses two queen-sized double guest cabins and four twin cabins. Each cabin includes an adjoining shower room, clad in rich marble. The cabins are designed to be light and airy, lined with pale silk blocks, ensuring a serene atmosphere.

For the crew, there are eight twin-bunked cabins, each equipped with an en suite shower room. The crew mess occupies the full beam at the lower deck level, providing a dedicated space for crew members. Additionally, the captain’s cabin and two cabins for personal staff are located just aft of the bridge, ensuring efficient service and proximity to essential areas of the yacht.
