Key Features
- Forward-facing jacuzzi on sun deck
- Extensive storage for self-sufficiency
- Toy garage and beach club
- Aft-facing sunbeds with partition system
Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 7.7m beam and a 2m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 298 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Launched in May 2024 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.
Exterior Design
One features a plumb bow, which contributes to its hydrodynamic efficiency and stability in various sea conditions. The deck is crafted from teak, a material known for its durability and resistance to the harsh marine environment. The hull and superstructure are both finished in white, providing a clean and cohesive visual appeal. Contrasting these elements, the boot top and the area below the waterline are painted black, adding a stark and functional distinction.
On the sun deck, a forward-facing jacuzzi is accompanied by a spacious seating area and bar. The midship section includes a U-shaped lounge equipped with a flexible table, suitable for both formal dining and casual cocktail parties. The aft section offers sunbeds, with an intelligent system of doors and panels that create partitions when necessary due to weather conditions.
Storage and self-sufficiency are key aspects of the yacht's design. Maximizing every available space, from under the sunbeds to beneath the sofas, the yacht is equipped to allow owners to spend more days at sea without needing to dock at port. The vessel also features a combination toy garage and beach club.
Interior Design
US designer Carla Guilhelm was entrusted with an open brief by the yacht owners to craft an inviting interior scheme for their new Van der Valk yacht. Drawing inspiration from the moon and the planet Mars, Guilhelm aimed to evoke an aerial floating atmosphere, capitalizing on the large oval-shaped windows conceived by the exterior designers, Guido de Groot Design.
Renders released prior to the yacht's launch depict a palatial, futuristic main salon adorned with soft spherical sofas and armchairs. Unique sculptures complement the fundamentals of the initial brief, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The chosen color palette revolves around natural neutrals of ecru and ivory, while geometric-designed coffee tables establish a connection to modernity. The shaping of the furniture follows the oval and asymmetrical motifs, adding to the overall sense of contemporary elegance.
Accommodation
One offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 suites comprising an owners cabin located on the main deck, 2 VIP cabins and 2 twin cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 6 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Volvo Penta (D16-MH) 750hp engines, motor yacht One is capable of reaching a top speed of 14 knots, and comfortably cruises at 13 knots.
