The award winning 33.74m motor yacht Blue Jeans was delivered to her owners in 2022 by Dutch shipyard Van der Valk. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Guido de Groot Design, while Diana Yacht Design is responsible for her naval architecture.

Key Features

  • Retractable dive board on sun deck
  • Fordeck with C-shaped sofa
  • Full-beam master suite
  • Barrisol LED ceiling in saloon

Design & Construction

Designed around a planing aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 7.05m beam and a 2m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 220 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Launched in September 2022 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in November 2022.

Exterior Design

Blue Jeans flybridge and raised bow contribute to the yacht's impressive headroom and spacious feel. The hull and flybridge base are painted in a distinctive blue, purposefully avoiding any hint of white. This choice is complemented by a silver-grey flybridge structure and blackout surfaces on the glass, creating a cohesive and modern look. Dark glazing along the main deck and long hull windows enhance the yacht's profile, giving it the appearance of a widebody from certain angles.

The long cockpit is furnished with square loungers, coffee tables, and loose chairs, making it ideal for relaxing and enjoying light refreshments. Symmetrical side decks lead to the foredeck, which features a C-shaped sofa, a pop-up table, and an integrated sunbathing area. The anchoring equipment is cleverly concealed below deck, resulting in a flush surface.

The sun deck includes a retractable dive board near the aft end of the port bulwark, an innovative feature developed with input from Diana Yacht Design. This practical addition underscores the yacht's blend of style and functionality.

Interior Design

Upon entering from the cockpit, guests are greeted by a hallway featuring White Carrara marble counters. The saloon, forward of the hallway, is designed with nearly 2.5m tall ceilings, providing ample headroom and a sense of spaciousness. The saloon includes large sliding doors and fold-down balconies on each side, allowing for panoramic views and natural light. A notable feature is the Barrisol LED ceiling, arranged in diagonal square panels with copper detailing, offering a visually appealing overhead illumination.

The saloon furniture includes custom sofas and chairs, arranged in a long rectangle around marble-topped coffee tables. These pieces are designed to be movable, enabling guests to adjust seating to maximize outdoor views or create space for a dance floor.

The dining area, located on the main deck, is accessible via the starboard hallway. It features long windows and four large, square skylights, offering abundant natural light. The centerpiece is a round, eight-seat dining table, which can be resized for smaller gatherings or games. Full-height wine fridges are positioned symmetrically in each corner, flanking a dark counter made of marble. A hip-high cabinet in the aft port corner is crafted from grey Fior di Bosco marble.

Recessed lighting is strategically placed throughout the interior, including shelves in the dayhead and dining area, to enhance the ambient lighting without being intrusive.

Accommodation

Blue Jeans accommodation for up to 8 guests in 4 suites. The full-beam master suite is located midships on the lower deck. This suite features a forward-facing bed, a sofa along the port side, a desk, and storage on the starboard side. The suite is accessible via two doors: the port door leads to a walk-in shower with a striped bench, and the starboard door leads to a twin-sink bathroom and a walk-in wardrobe, both adorned with rare Lapis Lazuli Blue marble.

Located to port, the VIP cabin features an en-suite bathroom for added privacy and convenience. Positioned aft of the shared bathroom on the starboard side, the twin cabin provides comfortable sleeping arrangements for guests. A double cabin is situated fore of the shared bathroom on the starboard side.

The crew area is forward and accessed from the galley. It includes a crew mess and two en-suite cabins, each fitted with twin bunks to provide a comfortable living space for the crew.
