Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 6.5m beam and a 1.8m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 145 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the fourth yacht built on the Evadne 26 design. Launched in June 2024 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.
Exterior Design
The exterior design of Rock X is characterized by its functional and robust elements. The plumb bow shape contributes to the vessel’s efficient cutting through the water, enhancing its stability and performance. The deck is crafted from teak, known for its resilience and resistance to harsh marine conditions. The choice of materials emphasizes practicality and durability. The hull and superstructure both feature a metallic color, creating a cohesive and streamlined appearance. The antifoul coating on the hull is black, serving both an aesthetic and protective function.
Rock X has an extended beach club area, providing ample space for relaxation and water activities. A key feature is the Jacuzzi, located just steps away from the hydraulic swim platform. This platform can accommodate a tender up to 6.5 meters in length and weighing up to 1,200 kg.
Sunpads offer areas for guests to enjoy the sun, while a shaded alfresco dining area provides a comfortable setting for outdoor meals. The yacht's design includes a shallow draft of 1.8 meters, making it suitable for navigating remote coves, reefs, and coastlines.
Interior Design
Rock X features a contemporary interior design characterized by a clean and minimalist aesthetic. The saloon is outfitted with modern furnishings in vibrant shades of green. Floor-to-ceiling windows allow ample natural light to fill the space, creating an open and airy atmosphere.
A few steps down from the saloon, the dining area is designed in an all-white color scheme. This space is accented with modern artwork and includes a unique pentagon-shaped window that offers scenic views. The overall design emphasizes simplicity and functionality.
Accommodation
Rock X accommodates up to eight guests across four staterooms. The master suite is located at the bow on the main deck, offering a spacious retreat with a private balcony and seating arrangement, ensuring a closer connection with the surrounding sea. The staterooms are designed in neutral, cool-toned colors for a calming and symmetrical ambiance, with dark-colored blinds to ensure undisturbed sleep.
For the crew, Rock X provides separate living quarters, accommodating up to four crew members across two crew cabins. This arrangement ensures that both guests and crew have comfortable and private spaces to retreat to during their voyage.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C-12.9) 1,000hp engines, motor yacht Rock X is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 11,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 2,000 nautical miles at an economic speed of 9 knots.
