  • Main deck swimming pool converts to teak basketball court
  • Full beam master suite boasting 3 metre floor-to-ceiling height
  • The Sun Deck has a covered, fully-appointed gym, American bar and wood-burning pizza oven
  • Main deck features indoor/outdoor veranda enclosed with system of sliding doors

Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 35'5" beam and a 10'6" draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 1,175 GT (Gross Tonnes).

The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in April 2017 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in August 2017.

Exterior Design

A defining element of Seasense's design is the expansive 10x4m swimming pool located aft on the main deck. This feature not only offers a substantial area for relaxation and sunbathing but also displays a transformative capability. The pool area can be converted into a full-fledged basketball court by covering it with 22 panels stored on the lower deck, a process expected to take half a day, though not yet attempted.

The vessel's teak planking is another detail that captures Rover's innovative approach, laid athwart ships—sideways rather than lengthways, a departure from traditional decking methods. This choice contributes to the yacht's unique character and visual interest.

Continuity between the yacht's exterior and interior is seamlessly achieved through an indoor-outdoor dining area on the main deck. This space can effortlessly transition from an open environment, when combined with the outdoor pool area via recessed sliding doors, to a closed, intimate setting with access to the indoor TV lounge. The exterior design, with its floor-to-ceiling windows and cutaway gunwales, provides an immersive 360-degree view over the sea, enhancing the connection between guests and the surrounding sea.

Seasense features expansive outdoor spaces, a large sunlight-enhanced pool, unique interior diversity, and high ceilings, reflecting a design that emphasizes natural elements.

Interior Design

The design concept hinges on a color palette dominated by shades of blue, complemented by vibrant reds, grays, and whites, encapsulating the hues of the sea and the vibrancy of marine life.

The main salon serves dual functions, operating both as a living area and a screening room. It is furnished with custom-designed seating arrangements, including armchairs and an expansive L-shaped sofa, tailored for the owner's family. This space is directly accessible from the unique indoor-outdoor dining area and also connects to the lobby, where a spiral staircase crafted from gray Antarctica Marble is a prominent feature. The staircase is accentuated with under-step lighting, while the blue wooden structure integrates steel inserts, mirroring the yacht's overall color theme.

The interior spaces of Seasense make use of a diverse selection of over one hundred different materials, showcasing a variety of woods, marbles, and flooring solutions unique to each area. The salons' main walls are clad in gray wood, with varying timber types employed in different sections of the yacht, creating a rich tapestry of textures. Each bathroom features at least two distinct marble types, while the flooring throughout the yacht is carefully chosen to suit each individual space.

The yacht's design prioritizes the sensation of warmth and intimacy, achieved through backlit wood cladding and thoughtful lighting that enhances the ambiance. The use of color and material throughout the interiors does not settle into repetition; rather, it offers a fresh and engaging environment that intertwines with the owner's art collection, adding bursts of color that energize the surroundings.

Accommodation

Accommodations aboard the Seasense are crafted to provide an exceptional stay for up to twelve guests, offering six well-appointed suites. The owner's suite, positioned forward on the main deck, has a ceiling height exceeding three meters in its central section. Equipped with twin walk-in wardrobes, the suite also includes a chaise lounge, ensuring ample room for relaxation and personal time. The en suite bathroom is a highlight in itself, featuring both a shower and a distinctive monolithic marble bath.

The VIP cabin, located on the main deck, offers guests a walk-in wardrobe, a vanity desk, and a private en suite bathroom, maintaining a high level of comfort and privacy. Moving to the lower deck, guest accommodations consist of four additional cabins, with two furnished with double beds and two with twin beds that can be joined if desired. Each cabin is accompanied by an en suite bathroom, ensuring all guests enjoy their own personal space with the necessary amenities.

For the crew, the yacht provides a dedicated area that includes the galley with robust steel fittings and countertops made from a blend of Silverstone and quartz aggregates. This ensures that the crew of up to 14 can perform their duties efficiently while maintaining a discreet presence, preserving the privacy of guests on board.
