Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 24' beam and a 6' draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 199 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the sixth yacht built on the Sovereign 100 design.
Exterior Design
Upon boarding via the passarelle, the large aft deck welcomes visitors with a practical U-shaped sofa bench and a custom-built teak table, ideal for casual gatherings. The small bar area, equipped with a refrigerator and sink, adds convenience for refreshments.
The aft deck is designed for privacy and adaptability, featuring a full eisenglass enclosure that can be kept closed or opened as needed. Two staircases lead down to the swim platform, offering easy access to the water and space for a tender.
The flybridge includes a shaded area under a collapsible Bimini top, a large U-shaped settee with a table for alfresco dining, and a bar with an ice maker, refrigerator, and grill. An upper helm station is available, mirroring the high-tech equipment found in the pilothouse. A hot tub with a sun pad is positioned on the aft section of the flybridge, providing additional leisure space.
The boat deck offers ample room for additional water toys, facilitated by a Steelhead davit on the port side. Movement between decks is efficient, with a curved staircase connecting the flybridge back to the main aft deck.
Interior Design
As you enter the main salon from the aft deck, a large, comfortable area awaits you. It features two sofas and two large armchairs, providing ample seating for relaxation. The entertainment center includes a hi-lo TV, integrated into the space for convenience.
The dining area, separated from the main salon by cabinetry, includes a custom wooden table with seating for eight. Large windows ensure the area is well-lit with natural light, enhancing the dining experience.
The L-shaped galley, located on the port side, maximises countertop space and storage. It is equipped with Viking appliances, including an oven and stovetop, as well as two drawer refrigerators and a full-sized wine fridge. The dual entrances, from the dining room and the main deck foyer, provide easy access.
In the pilothouse, the helm is outfitted with top-of-the-line electronics, including Raymarine and Garmin radar systems, Seakeeper stabilizers, and ICOM VHF radios. This area allows for smooth navigation and operation.
Accommodation
The Waterford yacht offers accommodations for up to eight guests across four well-appointed staterooms. The master stateroom, situated on the main deck, is designed for privacy and comfort. It features a king-sized bed, his and her closets and a bureau. The master suite includes an ensuite bathroom with dual sinks, a spacious two-person shower, and a bidet. Additionally, there is a separate office area with an L-shaped desk.
On the lower deck, the yacht houses a large full-beam VIP suite. This suite is equipped with a walk-in closet, a bureau, and an ensuite bathroom featuring dual vanities, and a large tub with a shower. The two other guest staterooms on this level each feature queen-sized beds and ensuite bathrooms, ensuring comfort and privacy for all guests.
For the crew of up to four, Waterford includes dedicated quarters accessed via the galley. These quarters consist of a lounge area and sleeping arrangements in one double bunk room and a triple bunk room, with shared facilities. The captain's quarters are located aft of the engine room and include a double berth, ensuite head, and convenient access from both the main deck and the transom door.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C18) 800hp engines, motor yacht Waterford is capable of reaching a top speed of 16 knots, and comfortably cruises at 13 knots. With her 4,200 gallon fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 1,500 nautical miles at 13 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
