Admiral lays keel of ‘Blue Marlin’ hybrid superyacht

Construction of the 78m (256’) diesel-electric superyacht has begun at the shipyard in northwest Italy, ahead of her delivery in 2023.

Admiral has laid the keel of ‘Blue Marlin’, its 78m (256’) custom-built hybrid superyacht.

The project was first announced in June as a collaboration with designers Sinot Yacht Architecture and Design.

Onboard will be an innovative diesel-electric hybrid system. She’ll have a six-cabin layout for twelve guests in total. The Owner’s will be on the main deck forward, with a VIP cabin on the bridge deck. The other guest cabins will be below deck. Amenities are going to include a 6m (19.5’) swimming pool, spa, dive area, gym and helipad.

Construction has officially begun on Blue Marlin, ahead of its 2023 delivery.

Blue Marlin is set to be finished and delivered to her Owner in 2023. Elsewhere, Admiral is currently working on a 75m (246’) custom superyacht that’s due to be delivered to its Owner in 2021. The shipyard also recently launched the 48m (157’) CROCUS, which boasts a 100 sq. m (1,076 sq. ft) sundeck and opulent beach club.
