The launch took place at Baglietto’s facility in La Spezia, marking a significant step forward for the DOM 133 series, which already includes notable sisterships such as Bee and Astera.
What sets L’Instant apart is her innovative "interposed" hybrid propulsion system, which combines a diesel engine with an ultra-compact hybrid unit. The system includes an electrical motor installed between the main engine and gearbox, enabling compatibility with HVO biofuels. According to Baglietto, this can reduce CO2 emissions by up to 90%.
Additionally, the hybrid system allows L’Instant to operate in full-electric mode, achieving almost 10 knots and providing up to nine hours of zero-emission, silent operation while at anchor. In diesel mode, the yacht can reach a maximum speed of 17 knots.
The propulsion system requires more technical space on board. As a result, the layout has been adjusted to enhance guest areas. The galley now resides on the lower deck, replaced by a VIP cabin. Both the VIP cabin and the master stateroom are fitted with automated windows to enhance natural ventilation. Custom-made opening portholes in the lower deck guest cabins serve a similar purpose.
Yacht access has been reimagined to connect all decks up to the sundeck, now featuring a multi-purpose bar and convenient dumbwaiter. An outdoor gym, made for the owner's lifestyle, takes the place of the pool area.
Inside, the focus on sustainability is evident. Recycled ocean plastic forms the carpets and fabrics. Neutral hues paired with turquoise accents create a warm and elegant atmosphere. Light eucalyptus, walnut, and Italian furnishings enhance the interior's overall beauty.
The upper deck of the motor yacht accommodates a 5.8m tender and two jet skis, with a 16 Kn (1600 kg capacity) davit installed for effortless hauling and launching.
Baglietto’s Growing Fleet
L’Instant is the sixth unit in the highly successful DOM 133 series, following the launches of Astera, Jules, Perla Bianca, Bee, and Attitude. The first yacht in the series, Attitude, was delivered in 2022, establishing a foundation of stylish, efficient vessels tailored for modern yacht owners.
According to YachtBuyer Market Watch, Baglietto plans to launch 10 new yachts this year, setting the stage for an exciting 2025 for both the shipyard and future owners.
