Targa 58 GTB Introduced by Fairline

British shipyard Fairline Yachts continues its collaborative relationship with Alberto Mancini as it reveals the new Targa 58 GTB.

Building on the notable Targa range, already home to the popular Targa 50 and award-winning Targa 45, the new Targa 58 GTB has some iconic innovations that separate it from other British sub-80ft models.

Launching as the first beach-club yielding British yacht under 80ft, the Targa 58 GTB diversifies the Fairline fleet and raises the bar for British engineering in the under 80ft category.

Customisation is not a dominant feature for the vessel. However, there is a broad selection of engine options available including popular brands Volvo, Caterpillar and MAN. The expected maximum speed is 36 knots, with power output from the given collection ranging from 1800-2600hp.

As a national first for British yacht builders, the extending swim platform and drop-down wings by the stern create a generous beach club environment that has previously been unavailable in this size range. Further flexibility for the innovative feature is extended with a launching platform, which is ideal for stored water toys including a Williams 345 JetRib and a Seadoo Spark jet ski.

We strive to be at the forefront of yacht innovation, and a beachclub is typically a feature exclusive to yachts over 80ft, to provide this enhanced boating experience in the 60ft class is something we are very proud of.

Reported to be inspired by the appearance of a modern luxury apartment, interiors for the Targa 58 GTB feature minimalist but stylish influences, with herringbone wood flooring and an abundance of natural light from the long sweep of glazing over the roof. The compact but comfortable interior of the main deck features a front starboard cockpit overlooking an exterior seating area on the foredeck. Located adjacent to the cockpit an interior dining option and galley provide everything the guests need along the portside.

Overnight accommodation can host up to six guests in a layout of three cabins on the lower deck. The full-beam master is located amidships with a private ensuite and separate shower cubicle. A VIP cabin is situated in the bow, plus there is a twin on the starboard side, both benefitting from private ensuite facilities.

The new Targa 58 GTB is currently scheduled to make her global debut at the 2020 Cannes Yachting Festival.
