FLIBS 2022 countdown: must see debuts

One week to go and the final preparations are underway, the 2022 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show is almost here.

With over 1,000 exhibitors and six miles of floating docks now gearing up for opening day, there's plenty of reasons to get excited about the upcoming event.

The world's largest on-water boat show, the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS for short) caters to every sector within the yachting industry from fishers and sports boats to cruisers and superyachts.

Every year there's huge anticipation as to who will be bringing their game to Florida and 2022 already looks like delivering new models, US debuts and a good few icons. If you're preparing to head out to Fort Lauderdale, here are some of the debuts worth seeing.

A mid-range newcomer for British shipyard Pearl Yachts, the Pearl 72 is a chic and stylish flybridge yacht that offers two master cabins situated forward with its own private entrance and a second amidships offering.

Providing Owners with a choice of four interior styling options penned by Kelly Hoppen, there are several innovative touches that really make this 21.99m (72.2ft) flybridge worthy of the attention it's attracting.

One of which is a retractable sunroof on the hardtop, giving guests onboard maximum sunlight without compromising privacy.

Capable of accommodating up to eight guests, she is advertised as having a top speed of 30 knots.

Versatility at its best. The Sunseeker 90 Ocean has been around for a while now but she's now taking on her US debut. As a semi-custom flybridge yacht, this Sunseeker offering is an absolute must for prospective Owners looking to make their first step into Ownership.

Packing a host of superyacht qualities into a 27.1m (88.9ft) yacht has made her a real asset to the British fleet, with six units already delivered and another eight currently in construction.

Featuring a four-cabin layout including a private VIP and exclusive access in the bow, there are many customizations onboard the Sunseeker model to create a unique vision every time.

Interiors are high-volume thanks to the omission of the lower helm station, providing a much larger and accommodating main deck. Extensive glazing accentuates this impressive space, naturally highlighting the natural tones throughout.

Exteriors however have to be seen in person merely to witness the innovative award-winning X-TEND™ sunbeds that elevate to provide guests with a whole new sun lounging experience.
