FLIBS 2022 countdown - the must see moments

Less than two weeks until the 2022 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show and preparations are well underway on and around the docks.

The 63rd edition of the world's largest in-water boat show is preparing to welcome over 100,000 visitors through seven seamlessly connected locations.

Exhibiting in excess of 1,300 boats of all shapes and sizes, Fort Lauderdale prides itself in meeting a broad selection of niches of the yachting industry, from stylish tenders to personal submarines, the latest nautical-inspired fashion and of course impressive yachts for sale.

In addition to the plethora of glistening yachts and superyachts berthed in the marinas, 1,000 exhibitors are sprinkled around the docks. Offering everything you could possibly need to complete the ultimate yachting package.

Superyacht Village

Bringing together the biggest and most impressive yachts attending the show, the Superyacht Village off Pier 66 is an absolute must for all prospective Owners.

Frequently attended by renowned shipyards such as Heesen and Lurssen, the specially selected yachts on display at the exclusive exhibit are of palatial influence and showcase the difference between buying a yacht and owning a yacht. 

As well as some spectacular superyachts for sale, the Superyacht Village also showcases some incredible exotic cars and unique equipment such as personal submarines.

The AquaZone by Nautical Ventures

Found in the Broward County Convention Center, the AquaZone is still just a stone's throw from the superyachts berthed outside but makes a real splash when it comes to showing off the latest gadgets in watersports.

Featuring a 40,000-gallon freshwater pool, demonstrations can be seen every day throughout the duration of the show and can introduce you to a host of activities including paddleboarding, snorkeling and even flyboarding.

As an engaging, action-packed side attraction it is certainly high on the list of must-sees for visitors with families and younger yacht enthusiasts. 

Marine and Electronics Tent

Close by to Bahia Mar, the Marine and Electronics Tent is one of the key features to help compile the complete package for a best-that-money-can-buy experience.

With a dedicated West Marine Shuttle to and from the West Marine store (official Marine Accessories and Electronics Provider for FLIBS) to Bahia Mar, seamless access is around the show still remains intact and there are plenty of opportunities to get first-hand advice on the technical side of yachting.

Plus, on October 28 an additional event for all FLIBS visitors that will include tacos, beer, and extra in-store discounts.

Culinary adventure

Completing the ensemble of intriguing exhibits and live music dotted around the seven locations, culinary delights are to be enjoyed by visitors of all ages.

Over 100 food concessions and bars are available, including popular hotspots Goslings’ Dark ‘N Stormy Island Bar and the Palm Harbor Marina Cocktail Barge.
