Maritimo has unveiled a record-breaking fifth new model in 2021, the M60 Flybridge, with a further three models still to be revealed before the close of the year.
The 18.53m (60.1ft) motor yacht was inspired by the very first motor yacht the Australian yard released in 2004, the Maritimo 60, as Maritimo Design Director, Tom Barry-Cotter, explains:
“The M60 has been a new model development of the highest focus and detail across all divisions of Maritimo since the beginning of the project – for a very special reason. The M60 carries the designation of the very inception of the Maritimo flybridge motor yacht known today – The highly acclaimed Maritimo 60.
“At the beginning of this project, it was made clear by Maritimo founder, Bill Barry-Cotter, that the M60 had to be a motor yacht that was truly special, as the 60’ flybridge designation was something that he held close to his heart.”
The M60 follows the design direction of Maritimo’s previous launches this year, with completely new deck and flybridge superstructure lines and exterior flybridge wings increasing the amount of space available. Space has played an important consideration in the new design with Maritimo taking on board feedback from its clients saying that the connection between the cockpit and the platform zones was important as that is where they spend most of their time when at anchor.
As a result, the M60 has what Maritimo calls “an immensity of cockpit deck and adventure deck space”, with its enclosed flybridge skylounge offering 23 square meters (247 sq. ft) of volume when the flybridge bifold doors are stacked open.
Elsewhere the upper cockpit offers up to three separate lounges and is capable of transforming into a protected indoor/outdoor zone and is adjacent to an entertainment space with a sink, grill and large refrigeration areas.
There is plenty of space for storage of tenders and toys with the M60 featuring the largest garage lazarette area within any Maritimo to date, able to house a 3.2m (10.3ft) tender. Accommodation is offered for six guests across three cabins.
Maritimo has already secured a number of orders for the new motor yacht, with the first scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2022. The yacht itself is set for a global launch at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show in May 2022.
Maritimo produces four ranges of production yachts, the X-Series of sports yachts, the S-Series of sedan cruisers, the M-Series flybridge range and its new Offshore series which was launched in March with the unveiling of its M600 Offshore model.
