The Hinckley Company has announced that a newly designed Hunt Ocean Series 76 is set for two firsts this spring.
The 25m (76.3ft) model will be the first to feature what is being described as a walk-around pilothouse, and also the first in the series to be sold to an American Owner when she is delivered in May.
Showing the flexibility available to Owners who want to personalize their boats, an open flybridge is still an option. But this enclosed design is expected to be a popualar choice, as it has proved to be on previous models.
“From the enclosed pilothouse, you have spectacular views and enhanced situational awareness,” said Mike Arieta, President and COO of The Hinckley Company. “With its walk-around deck you can just step out to dock the boat from the perfect vantage point. And the windshield and roof installations are easy to access. It’s a working zone of the boat that really works well.”
The latest 76 also features a three-cabin en-suite arrangement, walk in pantry, private entrance and a two-person crew cabin on the lower deck. There is also an expansive main deck salon with 360-degree views and formal dining area opposite.
The Hunt Deep-V hull ensures a dry and stable ride, and twin Caterpillar 900HP C-32s give a top speed of 32 knots.
US-based Hinckley began life in 1928 servicing local lobster boats in Maine, before building its first boat in 1933. In 2013 Hunt Yachts became part of The Hinckley Company and work from its six locations to create deeply personalized boats to match each individual owner’s requirements.
