Bamps is no stranger to Gulf Craft. Having originally joined the company in 2002, the Belgian executive was a driving force behind its transformation from a regional boat builder into a globally recognized superyacht manufacturer.
Under his leadership as CEO from 2014 to 2018, Gulf Craft achieved international acclaim, joining the ranks of the world’s top 10 superyacht builders and expanding its operations from a modest workforce of 220 to nearly 2,000 across multiple countries.
Now returning with a broader portfolio of international leadership experience—including a stint as CEO of Prestige Yachts under Groupe Beneteau - Bamps is tasked with steering Gulf Craft through a new strategic phase targeting key markets across Europe, Asia, Australia, and the Americas.

Gulf Craft is entering a defining era. With an already solid global footprint and rising brand equity, we are poised to claim greater market share across the full spectrum—from long-range luxury explorers to fully customised superyachts.

Speaking about his new role, Bamps commented, “Gulf Craft is entering a defining era. With an already solid global footprint and rising brand equity, we are poised to claim greater market share across the full spectrum—from long-range luxury explorers to fully customised superyachts.”

Gulf Craft’s current portfolio includes a number of high-profile builds under its Majesty Yachts label, including the Majesty 145, Majesty 120, Majesty 111, and the new Majesty 100 Terrace - all of which are either recently delivered or under construction at the company’s primary shipyard.
In his previous tenure, Bamps was known for staying close to the factory floor, advocating a flat organizational structure and emphasizing employee loyalty and internal growth. He was also a vocal proponent of evolving yacht ownership models to reflect the shifting preferences of ultra-high-net-worth buyers, including shared ownership and charter-focused flexibility.
With his return, Gulf Craft appears set to double down on a strategy of global relevance, innovation, and operational efficiency—aiming to capture new market share while reinforcing its leadership in the Middle East yacht manufacturing sector.
