Royal Hakvoort’s 61m (200ft) superyacht ‘Project Asia’ has been revealed for the first time as it arrived at the yard’s facilities in Monnickendam to begin outfitting.
Also known as Hull YN 253, Project Asia has been designed inside and out by Sinot Yacht Design, with naval architecture from Diana Yacht Design.
Offering accommodation for 12 guests across six cabins, one of her highlights is a private Owner’s deck with a forward master suite, a study and a skylounge with a bar. The VIP stateroom can be found on the main deck, with four double guest cabins on the lower deck.
There is plenty of space for alfresco dining, which includes a table to seat 16 guests on the Owner’s deck and a further alfresco dining space on the sundeck. The sun deck is also home to a swimming pool, bar, outdoor lounge and sunpads.
Other standout features are an elegant main deck salon with bar and seating area. Tenders are also stored on the main deck, which creates room on the lower deck for a beach club with a hammam, massage room and entertainment area. At the opposing end of the spectrum, for those feeling more active, a top deck gym provides the perfect place for a workout.
Twin Caterpillar 3512E HD Diesel engines will provide a top speed of 14.7 knots and a cruising speed of 13 knots, with a range of 3,800nm at 12 knots.
Project Asia is due for delivery in 2022.
Based in the Netherlands, Hakvoort were recently given permission to add the ‘Royal’ prefix to its name, a designation reserved for family firms who have offered exceptional levels of service for over 100 years. Earlier this year it announced the launch of the 61m (200ft) superyacht ‘Top Five’, its first launch since it announced the death of its former director Albert Hakvoort in March.
