Williams Jet Tenders is celebrating a milestone achievement this week, the launch of its 10,000th tender.
The British based manufacturer has grown beyond recognition since brothers John and Mathew Hornsby built its first tender ‘Jade’ in their converted shed in Oxfordshire in 1997. It now employs over 100 staff and has cemented a reputation as perhaps the world’s leading jet tender specialist.
Mathew Hornsby, Sales Director at Williams Jet Tenders, took stock of the achievement, saying: "To launch our 10,000th tender is a momentous occasion for everyone involved with the brand. We're proud of what we've achieved, and it's all down to our amazing colleagues and customers but trust me when I say this is only just the beginning!"
The company is continuing to forge ahead in the industry, it recently announced an investment of £1million for a new in-house moulding facility and a dedicated large-scale boat production facility at its Oxfordshire headquarters.
William Jet Tenders is now the preferred tender supplier to many pedigree brands, and often works directly with yacht builders to create tender garages and launch systems specifically for their models. However, it started out building wooden dayboats designed to cruise the French Riviera.
It was in 2002, with the release of the Ski Rib, that the groundwork was laid for the development of the jet-powered tenders that would go on to become the hallmark of the British brand. Over 100 Ski Rib tenders were built in two years.
Williams Jet Tenders now produces 14 different models across five distinct ranges: TurboJet, DieselJet, SportJet, EvoJet and MiniJet and builds over 950 boats per year. If you are interested in exploring its hugely capable range start by viewing all Williams Jet Tenders for sale.
