Once the flagship of the M Class and entire Princess range, the 40M is a semi-custom tri-deck superyacht that picked up multiple awards on its debut, packing in masses of deck and interior luxury wrapped in a design that still looks sharp today.
Development started in 2013 and the first model rolled off the production line in 2012. She was unveiled to the general public at the Cannes Boat Show where she made her World Debut. She won a few awards, most recently 'Best Worldwide Semi Custom Built Yacht (25m and above)' at the 2015 Asia Boating Award.
She can comfortably maintain a cruising speed of 20 knots via her twin 3,460hp MTU 12V 4000 M93L engines. In terms of range, the Princess 40M has a standard range of 2,050 nautical miles (nm).
As superyacht box-ticking exercises go, the 40M is quite a feat. The trideck design delivers a sun deck, skylounge and private upper deck, foredeck lounge and tender garage.
Its main deck Owner's stateroom is palatial with a study and lounge, below there are up to four ensuuite guest cabins and a very good forward crew quarters.
The Olesinski hull design will happily hit 20knots or cruise sedately at 10-12knots over long distances.
With a good deal of customisation offered by Princess at the time, to both finish and layout, you can expect to find a lot of variety on each 40M, including hull colours and cabin layouts.
