Princess X80 Rivals

Which yacht is best for you? As always, it’s all about personal choice. Some people choose a yacht on its characteristics (incidentally the X80 has won 1 award, most recently for "Custom Yachts"). Some people choose their yacht based on its power credentials and the planing hull of the X80 delivers speeds of up to 31 knots.

Accommodation

If your priority is guest accommodation then the Princess X80 offers well-appointed accommodation for up to 10 guests with its 5 cabin layout option. Some of its rivals, including the Horizon FD87 and Horizon FD85, share the same 10 guest sleeping capacity, making them excellent choices for those seeking to enjoy their yachting experience with family and friends. The X80 benefits from a full-beam master cabin with an en-suite bathroom, hull side windows and a walk-in wardrobe is a standout and all cabins have dedicated en-suite bathrooms for family or guest convenience. The Numarine 26 XP and Sanlorenzo SX88, although designed for slightly smaller groups of 8 guests in 4 cabins, still offer an exceptional level of comfort for family getaways.

Performance

In terms of cruising performance, the Princess X80 leads the way with an impressive cruising speed of 25 knots thanks to its twin 1,900hp MAN V12-1900 engines and maximum speed of 31 knots at 2,300rpm. Closely followed by, the Princess Princess S80 with a respectable cruising speed of 25 knots. The Princess Y80 also impresses with a cruising speed of 25 knots. On the other hand, for those not in a hurry the Outer Reef Yachts Adventure 780, with the slowest cruising speed of 11 knots, emphasizes stability and comfort over outright speed and enjoying the journey over the destination.

Unique Characteristics

Each yacht also brings unique features to the forefront. The Numarine 26 XP impresses with its extensive range of 3,500 nautical miles, ideal for long voyages. The Arcadia Sherpa 80, Azimut 26M, Extra Yachts X76 Loft and Gulf Craft 75 SUV all feature shallow drafts for yachts of this size, allowing them to navigate waters inaccessible to deeper vessels. The performance of the Princess Princess S80 is especially impressive, with a top speed of 38 knots and cruising speed of 25 knots. The Wally WHY200 has an impressive gross tonnage of 200GT, the largest of the competitors here.

Summary

Despite stiff competition, the Princess X80 stands out with notable features and design elements. These yachts cater to a wide range of preferences and needs, making the choice a matter of personal taste and specific requirements in the world of luxury yachting.
