On Deck

The Horizon PC68 boasts an expansive aft deck, indicative of the generous space afforded by its catamaran design. There is a al fresco dining area and wet bar situated here.

The exterior does not have a traditional tender garage; instead, it features a unique sliding mechanism suitable for a jet ski.

The foredeck offers vast areas for sunbathing and storage, with sunbed cushions that can be neatly tucked away in inclement weather. Additionally, there's a sizable area for storing water toys or other gear, as well as access to the chain locker.

The upper deck layout is customizable, and an optional Isenglass enclosure can convert it into an open bridge. The upper deck space aft can accommodate a tender or be used for various leisure activities.

Interior

Inside, the yacht features a spacious main-deck saloon with multiple layout options. The main deck is characterized by its vastness and high-quality finishings, providing a sense of luxury and comfort. There is a fully equipped galley, including high-end Miele appliances, an ice maker, a trash compactor, and a dishwasher.

The upper deck is impressively large for a yacht under 70 feet. The helm here is well-appointed with triple Garmin screens that can be configured to the captain's preferences. It includes comprehensive communication equipment and bow and stern thrusters, with the thrusters being placed in the starboard hull for enhanced maneuverability.

Also on the upper deck is a cozy and adaptable dining area, which can be transformed into a lounging space for movie nights with a height-adjustable table and bar area.

Accommodation

Owner's Cabin

The main deck master suite is exceptionally large, with the option to remove the bulkhead and bed to create an even more expansive living space. The suite features a sizable ensuite bathroom with a dual shower, dressing area, cedar-lined wardrobes, and large windows that allow natural light in while offering privacy with blinds.

Guest Accommodation

Below deck, the VIP guest cabin is spacious, extending into the bridge for added roominess. It lacks the "squeezed" feeling often associated with catamarans. There's also an additional twin guest cabin on this side of the catamaran that meets guest standards, offering versatility for either guest or crew use. In the other hull of the catamaran, there is another twin guest cabin and ensuite.

Crew Accommodation

The yacht includes areas that can serve as crew quarters, but in the configuration onboard this vessel, these spaces are utilized as guest accommodations. There's a service area for onboard electronics and a laundry facility.

Performance

The Horizon PC68 is powered by twin MAN I6 engines, each delivering 850 horsepower. These engines propel the yacht to a maximum speed of around 25 knots, with a cruising speed of around 20 knots and a cruising range of 500 miles. By reducing the speed to 8-10 knots, the range can be extended to approximately 1,500 miles, showcasing the vessel's versatility in performance.

The Victron phosphate battery system is a highlight, supporting the goal of running the yacht without a generator for up to 20 hours.

In Summary

Nick's tour of the Horizon PC68 reveals his admiration for the yacht's abundance of space, luxury amenities, and innovative design elements tailored to enhance the catamaran experience. He is particularly impressed by the yacht's efficient use of space, the high-quality finishings, and the technical innovations like the battery system and adjustable air conditioning that allow for extended periods of operation without generator use.

Nick's enthusiasm suggests that the Horizon PC68 represents the epitome of a "floating island," offering both substantial space and fun, which may contribute to the growing popularity of catamarans in the luxury yacht market.
