On Deck

The yacht's exterior design is visibly impressive, with sweeping lines and the wonderful trailing edge of the flybridge.

The Pearl 72 has a garage, which is large enough to hold a Williams 345 tender and a jet ski, something found to be remarkable for a 70-foot flybridge boat. Also highlighted are the remote controls for the winches that pull these in and out.

The cockpit has a wonderful social seating area with an extendable table and a wet bar. The cockpit also features a handy docking station.

Stairs in the cockpit lead up to a very nice-sized flybridge.  There is ample seating/sunbathing with a powered extendable louvered hardtop.  Behind the upper helm is a wet bar and exterior dining area.

Wide side decks lead to a foredeck seating area with an extendable table, storage bins, and sunpads, all covered by a removable awning.

Interior

The interior of the yacht, designed by Kelly Hoppen, impresses with its modern, luxury, and indulgent styles. This has all been done to owner-specific specs and a special highlight was the excellent use of lighting that made everything appear to float. The galley, located in the center of the yacht, stood out with its unique bar area. There are large windows that extended the view out across the water.

The layout of the yacht is unique and efficient, with four ensuite cabins, including two master cabins. This arrangement would be perfect for charters or co-owners. The forward owner's cabin in particular, has spaciousness and natural light.

Crew Accommodation

The crew area on the yacht is accessed via a side deck and features a bunk bed with a window, good storage and heads with seperate shower.  There is also a small crew galley. The crew area has a very high standard of finish and amenities.

Performance

The engine room is well-configured, with MTU 10V 2000 engines providing a top speed of about 33 knots with a cruising speed of 20-24 knots. Dropping to 12 knots, a range of over 400 nautical miles can be achieved.

In Summary

Overall, Nick was clearly impressed by the Pearl 72, commenting on the yacht's superb use of space, innovative design, and the level of detail in its finishes. He also praised the yacht's performance and engineering.
