Riva’s range of open powerboats successfully captures the essence of the brand’s illustrious past and manages the difficult trick of being timelessly elegant without looking retro. The range still includes a throwback model featuring lots of solid mahogany – bathed in no less than 24 coats of varnish – which is also used in lavish quantities to trim and finish the larger models in the range.

The open Rivas cross the threshold from high-end cabin cruisers to luxury live-aboard yachts at around 60ft in length. At the top of the range, a patented ‘C-top’ design turns the 23m (76ft) Bahamas and 27m (88ft) Florida into convertibles, switching between open and coupé configurations.
