First announced to the press in 2023 she went into development later the same year. She was unveiled to the general public at the 2023 Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show where she made her World Debut and made her American Debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in 2023.

She can comfortably maintain a cruising speed of 23 knots via her twin 900hp Volvo Penta D13-IPS1200 engines. In terms of range, the Riviera 585 SUV has a standard range of 1,000 nautical miles (nm).
