Production of the first generation Sunseeker 74 started in 1997 and ran for over 5 years. The second and final generation Sunseeker 74 went into production in 2002.
The latest generation can comfortably maintain a cruising speed of 26 knots via its twin 800hp Caterpillar 3406E E01 engines. In terms of range, the Sunseeker 74 has a standard range of 350 nautical miles (nm). By comparison, the Mk2 has comparable performance to its predecessor, with no difference between their cruising speeds, and they are the same in terms of range.
